For playing backups, how large SD card should I buy?
I'm thinking either 64gb or 128gb. I guess in theory I could always buy larger but I don't want to spend to much money on it.

To the people who are already using SX OS, how fast did you fill up your SD card?

Atleast a 200GB card, even 128GB is small for switch games, 200GB cards are going for sub 70$ on amazon you can check some deals out on there.

Everything is cheap in the US  The same thing costs about 40-50% more where I live. But yeah it might be worth an investment!

128GB for 30 euro. 256 ist much more expensive. so I got several 128GB cards and carry only the games I really play. rest is on a huge HDD.

I got a 128GB and to be honest, I'm running low on space.

I already had 48GB of eShop games I previously purchased on the card. After that, I wanted to keep some of my retail carts on my SD card to avoid bringing everything on the train each day and finally, copy some games I want to try.

And then Oupps not even enough storage to keep 8 games (Due to previously purchased eshop games).

- Mario Odyssey
- Zelda BOTW
- Fire Emblem
- Mario Kart 8
- Mario Tennis Ace
- Xenoblade
- Mario & Rabbids
- DKC

So 128gb is enough if you plan to play them from start to end and then remove them from the SD card.

I need to finish Zelda expensions and get all moons on Mario so I can remove them from the SD card.

I have a 256GB microSD and it runs out of space real fast after updates and mandatory downloads.

I'd recommend 128GB or higher, considering the library of games we're likely to get as time passes.

Right now, I can get by with 32GB because there isn't a lot out for the Switch that I care about, but that's unlikely to last.

I know the feeling, of playing a game just to finish it. I hate that. I don’t usually enjoy the game when I feel pressure to remove one to install another. Back in the day, I used to finish a game before starting another. Now, I’m just a mess.

I have changed from 200GB to 400GB. Since the games now have forced downloads and exaggeratedly large updates, there is hardly enough space even at 400GB. I mean the game updates alone consume over 100GB.

if you want to play both switch games and psx/psp (and the future gamecube/wii games) you really want to go for 200 or more. 64 is definitely not enough.

i have 256 and still have to delete files to fit others, some Switch games are even larger than PS4 pkgs specially indies

Because microSD with 256GB+ are still expensive here in germany (at least if you want one of the microSD carts with higher transfer speed as the „normal“ ones), i also bought 2 128GB so i saved about 15-20€ in total and it‘s not a big deal to swap the microsd card if you want to play another game.
