Why games must be free/pirated and a tool for pirating games should not?Things are whatever the maker wants to charge, if it's too much and you want to try cheat and get it cheaper/free, that's up to you, but you can't just say other people's work "should" be free

It should, and does, I have no objections with people trying to do what they can to protect their work
Even if it goes as far as the person who cracks the work wanting to add their own protection, sure you hit levels of hypocrisy but imho everyone is a hypocrite to some degree

what i dont get with the people on this site is why are all you people crying that tx os will be getting hacked because use paid money for it, saying that if we want it then we should just pay for it maybe use should think about what use are saying because the only use of this software is to pirate games that use SHOULD be paying for hypocrites. i hope it gets cracked wide open
They don't have any good feelings toward TX anyways. I say it makes perfect sense if they want to tear their shit up and cut their revenue. And they are just doing what they love doing - cracking DRM.
And they are not the ones enabling piracy. TX is. Even if they don't release a crack, SX buyers are already pirating.
I'd say the only downside of a crack being released is pissing off people who already paid for SX. "I paid for it so everyone should pay for it. No you can't have for free what I paid for!"

This kind of thought process I just don't understand. They made it they can charge what ever they want for it. Yeah there is a scene of hackers that will release stuff on a later note for free but they are not obligated to release what they made. if you want a free version wait for that.
What entitles you to have SX os for free when you did not contribute to the creation of it?
Its basical .83 cents to a dollar a day for a month hardly breaking the bank.

If they release this crack, they would've made the first free piracy tool and contribute to switch piracy more than anyone else including TX.
Maybe some TX owners will be mad but they bought the thing knowing a free solution is right around the corner. They should be prepared for that.

For me it's not the price. For me the matter is asking money for pirating games.
Oh yeah right forgot about that. So this is their second contribution then? LayerFS is buggy as hell and pretty much guaranteed to get you banned. Free SX OS is much better.
Some might argue it's about protecting their investment, if TX can make a profit they will release updates, if they can't they will just abandon it and those who paid now don't get any further support.
Personally I see paid solutions as the driving force in most hacking scenes, sure people do it for a hobby, but money is the biggest motivator there is, there is a reason paid solutions nearly always emerge first
Well to be fair Layeredfs enabled piracy and came out first. That's the whole point though, just come out and be honest, be upfront. Tell us you hate TX and you want to see them suffer, i would respect them more.

If its released we must let know who did it, these devs are more hurt when they are related to piracy, because that is what its happening, I am going to spread all the information everywhere of who did it, and the reasons they spread it for free, they gave us free easy piracy, we must thank them, they must be acknowledged for their "work", I wont think they are going to be happy because we only cracked it!!!! but they did it!!!
what? I forgot and sxos wasn't the first piracy tool. However LFS is complicated, buggy and dangerous. SX OS is none of those things.
SX OS costs $30, not much but it's still a barrier to entry. A free SX OS will be the best piracy solution at the moment. If released it will be the biggest thing to happen in switch piracy.

For the sake of clarity, all he actually said was that he would release the decrypted bootloader. He said nothing about a full working crack.
