I can't even get homebrew to work :( The menu loads but there is nothing there (no apps) despite following all the guides I can come across. SX OS + 5.1

Still no luck after using the SX OS 1.1 boot.dat: open albums while holding R which opens the homebrew menu, but nothing ever shows up. Just the animated background and a message to make sure I have a "switch" folder in root, which I do, populated with apps.

Frustrating.

You need to hold R while opening the album.

Holding R not L

My philosophy when it comes to updating (guess this comes with having used Windows because typically, Windows updates will patch 1 thing and break 5 others resulting in an update to fix the previous update): "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" So far, v1.0 is doing everything I want it to do. The games I want to play are working....so why should I bother updating if it doesn't really add any functionality that I need? Maybe if they add something that I find useful, i'll upgrade...so, i'm staying on v1.0 for now....maybe once more games I want go to Card2 games and they get that working, then I'll update, but v1.0 is where I am staying for now!

I don't think blocking online play for backups would prevent cheating.
Obviously I meant cheating online

Quick test of issues I had on 1.0 compared to 1.1

- Duke Nukem port still fails on selecting difficulty level
- Mystery of Solarus DX Zelda - still slow and crashes to softlock
- PSNES, after selecting game black screens and softlocks
- NXShell, does not seem to be wowrking

Dumps
---
- Doom, self dumped xci no more online error.
- Resident Evil, self dumped xci no more online error (Resident Evil.net)
- FIFA 18, still fails to load (cart error message)

Well, if SX OS could solve the cart 2 problem, I will make my desicion to grab one license.

Otherwise, there is no reason for me to pay for it with limited access.

As mentioned above, I mistyped. but I do have to say that my post did state, "Just the animated background and a message to make sure I have a "switch" folder in root" which would not be possible by holding L.

That said, I do wish that was my mistake! I spent hours on this.

Online play works with my personal dump
Something in me just wants Nintendo to block this to prevent cheating

This is amazing news. Now I wonder if injecting legit cert from another game will work. I know its a long shot and guaranteed way to be on the ban list, but I'll still try it, for science.

Do you have the hbmenu.nro file on the root of your micro sd card?

You know only 3 games use Cart 2 right? And they aren't the mainstream games you would probably be buying SX OS to play.

This is all so confusing and happening all at once.. 1000 threads pop up and I don't know what to believe. So is online play with my own certificate preventing me from being banned? Or is this still unclear? The team sounds so sure about this.

Actually, there are seven now and I guess there will be many more in the future. However, TX stated that they are working on card 2 game support, so I don't think that is a reason to not use SX OS.

Yeah,I know. But the main reason for me to buy SX OS is because I want to play the new game gonna released like new fre emblem.(if nintendo did the same price policy as what they did to FE Fate, I refuse to pay any thing for it)

I already bought most the game I want to play. So I only concern what new game I could play with SX OS.

I bought a second replacement tablet just for install SX OS and find there is this Cart2 issue is going on. Now I decide to wait until they surpport all the dump.

Noob Question here - but could not find informations.

If I want to from SX OS (with AutoRCM) to Original OS and then back to SX OS -> do i need to redo the Jig VOL POWER Combination?

Asking because i want to Update the Switch Firmware (for exFAT) Support. I am not sure - is there a difference where to make the System Switch Update?
SX OS vs Original OS?

Yes, they said that they have fixed issues which prevent from playing your self-made cartridge dumps online. But that doesn't mean that it's safe to use them online. I would rather be careful until we know more.
