So most of what I've tried has worked fine, but 3 games have given problems. Puyo Puyo Tetris won't show up at all no matter what I rename it to, trimmed or not. And Kirby and Penny Punching princess both just give "the game card could not be read" errors. Tried files from multiple locations so it's not the files at fault. And I'm on the latest OFW version, with an ExFat formatted Micro SD.
odd, Just tried Kirby as I hadn't before, works just fine for me (haven't played much, but loaded pretty fast and managed to actually play the first level.

Looks like some games like error that occur no matter what (i.e. 1-2 switch freeze when playing eating game or DK freeze having slow loading times but working), and some could be due to either the sd, the formatting, or some other reason.

Ps all, I will be away today at a photoshoot so won't get much time to see posts, so if some important information get's shared, please PM me so i can add it to the front page!

Puyo Puyo Tetris works for me, tested a bunch of levels in the adventure mode with no problems (aside from me being terrible at the Puyo Puyo)

So I got Penny Punching Princess to load by trimming it, gonna try it on Kirby in a few, but Puyo Puyo Tetris is just mia no matter what I do. As in it just doesn't show up in the game library at all.

Rocket league works fine for me. The only issue is if you are online you will get a error message saying online sevices are locked by nintendo.

SF 30th anniversary works flawlessly too

Yes, worked on first try without any problems

64 GB Sandisk card on exfat (don't know the exact type atm)

Untrimmed version of the game.

Yeah but it should show up in the menu at the very least, no ?
How can I update to 3.0.1 btw ? I'd rather not go over 4.x.x
You can update your console with a physical game that has a specific firmware on the cartridge. Here you'll find a list of games with their required firmware: https://gbatemp.net/threads/list-games-required-firmware-version.485959/

You can also update your console without burning any fuses and are able to downgrade later on. Here's a tutorial for this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...nofficially-without-burning-any-fuses.507461/

Maybe you can also update with backups, but I'm not sure if this works already.

That's a very long guide ! and it seems TX OS will burn the fuses anyway upon booting.
Gonna have to borrow a 3.0.1 game from someone

Not entirely certain from the info below, but can auto rcm perma brick the nintendo switch?

  • Not able to reach SX OS or Auto RCM : (Note: this is mainly the case when Auto RCM is installed)Console appears to stay frozen / in blank screen, and even when holding the power button and trying to cold boot, it will not load.
    • Solution: Take your Dongle out and charge it using a USB C battery Backup or the included cable for a minute or so, until you hear the buzzing noise it makes when it has a charge. Then attempt to cold boot again after with the dongle. If there is no charge, it wont be able to boot the CFW, and this will leave you at a blank screen RCM.
    • Solution 2: If using a computer, try a different USB port, as it is possible that your driver crashed and is not letting you access the payload, and you will stay stuck at the blank screen RCM

I haven't heard yet that a switch bricked because someone used AutoRCM. The issue you quoted is a problem that occurs for some people after they've installed AutoRCM. But it can be fixed and is no brick of the system.

Except for two titles, I keep getting a "game card cannot be read" error... SanDisk Ultra 128GB A1, exFAT, BBB, untrimmed. Does this by any chance have anything to do w/ copying the files from macOS onto the card? I'm lost.

Are you sure that these games are card 1 games? And have you checked if these are games that are in the backup loading & game issues section in the first post of the thread?
