That server exists for one reason. Offtopic conversation can be conducted on other servers, if you don't like that then maybe joining a server dedicated to developers discussing progress on their work isn't the place for you

That said, really excited for the product they're creating and hope to see it fully realized soon. Unfortunately, as long as this is a hardmod I don't think it'll ever take off like the 3DS scene did.

I don't think it should be referred to as a hardmod, with all the barrier to entry that entails. When you say hardmod, people think of nek lvl soldering, three million screwdrivers and a 40 minute Youtube tutorial with bad techno music. This is bending a paperclip, anyone with a paperclip and pliers can do it in a few minutes.

A clumsy oaf like me made it work, if they want it bad enough, the people will come.

We can call it a "paperclip assisted softmod" or "tethered tool asisted softmod" i think while is a lie it can help to people to see that is izy, after all we are not really modding the hardware of the console if we use a paperclip solution, is more like using external tools

Yeah. I've seen a few people even on here who are completely opposed to it, saying it'll break their console if they even attempt it. Well, it's early days, yet. Hopefully it becomes a situation where people see how fine the water is over here that they'll do a li'l "research" (post a "hwo do i jailbrake swtih" thread) and get into it.

Taking all but 15 seconds to bend a paperclip in a couple of spots is funny when you think about it. Almost MacGyver level nonsense.

It seems Atmosphere will not be releasing on June 15th. Based on information from their discord they'll need a few breakthroughs to have it finished by this time next month. If you've held back from purchasing SX OS because you're waiting for Atmosphere I'd now recommend getting SX OS.
