Hey guys, stargate3ds' Facebook group seems like it is impossible to access right now, which seems kind of weird right now.

I paid my SX OS licence through Paypal with them, through a kind of shady way. They sent a money request to my Paypal address, instead of actually using a basic Paypal payment gateway. And once the payment was sent, i didn't even get a confirmation email from their site saying that the OS will actually be delivered. Only an email from Paypal saying that the money was delivered.

And now the Facebook group that they created for the occasion seems to be gone. Kinda weird.

I'm scared because I bought SX OS from them too, but I think they are legit because when I asked if they knew when SX OS will be shipped they said "We don't know but if you want we can cancel your order so you get refunded" I don't know we will see

and they are official resseler

They have a new Facebook named Rock the Switch.
if they scam us by paypal, you can get back your money.

Thanks a lot guys for the reassuring news, i joined the new Facebook group.

But did you guys actually receive a confirmation email from Stargate themselves after sending the money ? Because as i said, i only received one from Paypal.

1 to confirm new account and 2 about the bill and the purchase.

They have a new group Rock the Switch.

The original was closed by facebook because of the multiple discussions on where to download switch games, and one user actively posting his personal website for downloads. I think the admin/owner of the group, Anson, is trying to create a page to discuss the Switch OS and has said he'll be more active in removing the pirate talk.

I actually just received the confirmation email for my order from them, and they indeed have created a new Facebook group because the previous one was deleted by Facebook.

So everything does look fine for now.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
