I just tried the new release and two new games

-Daxter starts, and partially works, there is background sound but screen is always on black
-Soul Calibur Broken Destiny works fine, but laggy, and after a battle it freezes during a minute

I tried again Burnout Paradise, and now is working good, but the game shows squares instead of text, also tried again Def Jam F F NY, and now is working perfect, now it shows the correct text on the menu.

I just wanted to chime in to say (since I haven't seen it mentioned already) that, albeit preliminary, the port supports "remote disc streaming". I say preliminary because I haven't yet managed to successfully load an ISO through it (but I haven't tested the latest build yet, nor by any stretch have my tests, in general, been extensive). It is however possible to browse shared repositories from other ppsspp installation on the network, from both android and windows builds. Maybe with a few nudges in the right direction, it could get to a working state. That would surely facilitate and expedite the process of testing games (saving time and wear on SD cards).

BTW, Sega Rally Revo works full speed (30fps by design) if you care to wait about a 0.5-1 min until it loads the track!

As far as I can tell, that feature doesn't work at all. I've tried on Linux and Android a couple months ago, and Wii U recently. Never worked.

Has anybody tried running Homebrew games and demos on this emulator yet and what is the folder path to put them in?

I'm curious to see how OpenBor PSP port runs on this considering the Wii port's memory limitations makes it obsolete with recent pak games.

Any insight is appreciated.

Mmm, that's really strange. Testing remote disc streaming was the very first thing I did when I fired up PPSSPP on the WiiU specifically because I use it all the time (with success) to share from my PC to my phone. In fact I do all that while running PPSSPP in VR on my S8+ (which surely only adds more and more layers of complication if anything else), so I'm surprised to hear that it doesn't work at all for you outside of the WiiU-specific case. For me it works to and from Android and Windows. Maybe Linux (not surprisingly) complicates things for you? or your router/firewall settings are too strict. You should look into it, cause the feature does work.

Cheers,

Can someone tell me where do the ISOs need to go in my SD card?
I know they should go inside the /ppsspp/ folder in root, but does it need a subdirectory?

Mine are just in a folder called iso at the root of the sd, once you point the emulator to your folder, you wont have to do it again
