In what will be another blow to Xbox One owners, industry insiders suggest that the troubled Xbox One exclusive Crackdown 3 will be delayed yet again - this time until 2019.

This is not the first time the game had been delayed nor is it the first signs of struggled development for Microsoft's first party studios with the prior cancellation of Fable Legends and Scalebound.

Damn, this is the one Xbox One exclusive i've been really looking forward to as I really enjoyed the first two games.

I hear the Xbox One is doing bad for exclusives, however regardless i'm pretty content with the offerings in general at the moment, even if their not exclusives. I simply don't have as much time to play games compared to when the 360 was in its prime. What time I do have has been spent on Pokemon these last couple of years, which is what i'm really in to at the moment.

So as an Xbox One owner i'm happy enough, I could understand why others might not be though.

How long has CD3 been delayed now? Wasn't it originally meant for the 360? Then a Xbone Launch title? Fucking game won't be out until the 5th Xbox at this rate.

A pity since I got game pass until October so I could play Crackdown 3 too but I don't expect much from this game besides mindless fun.

I got every current gen console and I'm not content with anyone's offerings tbh, but I dig into Microsoft games (made 1000g/1000g this week on State of Decay 2) and game pass made it easy to play their games day 1 instead of waiting for sales.

Loving their backwards compatibility program. Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon and now being able to play Morrowind and SW KOTOR with a controller makes me happy, just waiting on Tales of Vesperia now.

Maybe the actual Scalebound sucked so much they decided to pull the plug. I wish they did that for Recore and Sea of Thieves.

After the frankly catastrophic launch of the One, hell yes I'm happy with it - they've bent over backwards since and given us a fantastic bit of kit with some excellent deals.
....Shame about the exclusives though! Sony have smashed them this gen in that department...

As for CD3, well as the original remains one of my fave games ever, yeah this is disappointing news, but not entirely unexpected - it looked shite when shown off last year, nothing like any previous footage we'd seen... personally I don't think the vanilla XO can handle the game, and can almost see it being delayed until the next console, with perhaps a sticker on the box saying 'Also playable on Xbox One X' or summat..

For a moment there I thought games were about fun and not ratings from people who flip a 6/10 to a 9/10 depending on the color of the game case.

I honestly believe it's a matter of which kind of games do you like. If a guy is not into single player, story driven stuff no ratings are going to help. Not criticizing Sony's console, which I also own and play, just stating that fun and personal preference are what actually matter. Follow your bias, not someone else's.

The delay is probably caused by figuring out how all the poisonous micro transactions are going to be implemented.
360 was a much better generation, these days we have slightly better graphics at the expense of a good game with out loot boxes/cards or whatever popping up like it's a mobile game.
Mobile games spoiled our console games.
