Sonic Robo Blast 2 Switch port

Hoi, I have ported SRB2 to Nintendo Switch!

Teaser Video:

This is no proper release yet, but mainly a test build. Button configuration is not final yet (MINUS is mapped to ESC for now)
and also the startup time needs to be improved (currently it seems to wait for a network timeout for about a minute ).

Download: attached here (provided by oreo639). You need to get the data files yourself from srb2.org.

Feedback welcome.

So I tried it out, here are my notes:

Initial pad layout is a little odd, can be easily fixed in the options screen
Sfx sounds a little high pitched to me
According to the in-game fps counter, runs at 15fps max, regardless of settings
Works on the latest firmware (5.1.0 at the time of writing)

All in all, not bad for a first release. Looking forward to seeing the kinks getting worked out, great job.

I remember first playing SRB2 first when I was 10, I'm turning 23 this year-
Crazy to see it's still being worked on. Can't wait to see this how this port goes!

While anything being ported is great, am I the only one who feels almost sickened trying to play this? It's so janky

Interesting. I remember way back when people were talking about an Android port like it was magic and completely impossible. This was of course back in 2011 or 2012 when most phones had 512 MB of RAM and a 1 GHz single core CPU was good.

finally a good game XD
i love it

I am ashamed to learn now, for the first time, that this game exists.

Super excited to play it now. I guess if I had known it existed I wouldn't have the pleasure of playing it now for the first time!
seriously dude how??? XD
this game is older than Sonic Adventure
i remember play the old versions back in 2006, 2007

My family is very poor by American standards, and I didn't have internet for many years.

Trust me, if I had had internet at the time - I would have known about it :D

I tried out loading a wad file using an autoexec.cfg, doesn't seem to be working yet. I get an error code whenever I try loading up a Shadow wad.

Hi! Do you mind telling me or giving me a reference on how I can learn how to port games or apps to the switch? I know the basics of C++, C, Java and python.
