Thats what i mean you really only want to update to play the latest games on emunand.
It may be the only way to update games for now but it definitely wasn't that way for other consoles and there will be a modable update system eventually.
And well i believe you should be banned from playing online with modded consoles and game saves. If you want to play online you should buy 2 consoles

Maybe because they think that because they're not adding it at launch that ReSwitched is adding in some form of anti-piracy measures to prevent people developing backup launching which is kinda impossible what with it being open-source and all.

SciresM has already said that implementing anti-piracy features is a losing battle, and will not be doing this

I do all those things. If i want to play online with a console i buy a 2nd unit for online latest updates and games.
Im wanting to know why people are so into atmosphere which is an incomplete project. That has no proof of working yet. Of having emunand. Still trying to get homebrew woring as Nintendo updates already affect how it works. Has no backup loader being worked on at all because the cfw is still incomplete. Apparently some dude claims its a 5min job lol anyway.
Xecuter works right now does everything you are wanting from atmosphere and more.
I will definitely switch to atmosphere if it exceeds Xecuter sx os once its finally released. But as of now its just another work in progress homebrew.

That's true, picking between Team Xecuter and ReSwitched feels like picking between Hillary or Trump. Besides, Atmosphere is open-source meaning a person with the right knowledge would know if they put in anti-piracy measures and how to remove them. Scires made it open-source to gain the community's trust in order to try to make the scene different than previous ones.

Exactly right. Im as equally interested in both.
Although i wasn't interested in Trump or Hillary other than enjoying it from afar like the rest of the world.
Im a fan of Xecuter because i have been using their products for over 10years and their products still are going strong.
It is a shame their system is locked down but they will also know once a system is locked it begs to be unlocked by hackers as a challenge alone.

Nintendo Switch's scene has been the best I've seen yet. Everyone seems to be putting the past in the past and starting forward. That leak was the best thing that ever happened to this community, it made everyone start being open and honest. Hacking went from a competition to a team effort, and everyone (so long as they know what they're talking about) seems to be on about the same page.

I joined GBATemp during the wait for Gateway 3.0. There was a camaraderie in that wild, crazy thread, it felt like people were as one. I haven't been around much until recently, and I've been feeling that again. Every day, there's something new for the Switch, I see the same people talking about it, excited, tense, anticipatory. We seem to be in this together, this time. I don't know if that's ever been the case before in a scene at large. The future might be bright, but the present shines, too.

I didn't said some people can't afford it, i said some people don't wanna to buy another one, for example, i can afford a second one, i just chose to not waste money on a duplicate piece of hardware that i aleardy own for no aparent reason.
