@Slasher115 Yeah, tried 'em, don't think its about the injects themselves being faulty.

Gratz to you for getting it to work. Kinda hate you and envy you now and stuff... :D jk.
I gave up on it today, will try it again maybe someday in the future.

I got my gamepad support working thru the workaround with the WiiVC-inject of USBLoader GX - launching gc from within there. Also probably an advantage because I can set individual Nintendont settings for each game that way.

But still - the unkown reason behind this strange error will probably haunt my dreams for months to come. :wtf:

Could you be a bit more specific on how you set it up to use a launcher with gamepad support? I don't think I can use USB Loader GX as my GC games that aren't the injects I've been trying to get working are on the SD card not USB. The same might method might work for me with something like wiiflow though.

1) Looked for ages for this link, which is a mod of the most recent USBLoader GX with basic Gamepad support.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/bsmksdaca0t66kf/USBLoaderGX+r1269_mod03++.7z

2) Replaced the boot.dol in my sd/apps (where the vWii stuff is located)

3) Installed the USB Loader GX - [UNEO] - vWii.wad (this is the forwarder channel) on the vWii side (hadn't done that before)

4) Created a WiiVC Inject with TeconMoons of the boot.dol in 2) with some generic GC Icon and channel banner.

5) If i haven't left out anything - fin. works like a charm

EDIT: Forgot to mention - gc.iso's are stored on the SD, so I can access them from the USBLoader. dk your setup, but this was the easiest solution for me.

I use WIIU USB Helper and make my own gamecube injections via this. You have to select the SD card tool 1st and then create and its worked every time for all the games I have done. You need to have the gamecube ISO on your pc 1st which are easily downloaded and found via google.

As said (if that was your question)
with this setup I get to my games (.iso) stored on SD.

Thanks, I'll see if I can get it working. The reason I asked is I remember seeing somewhere that USB Loader GX only supports USB. But it could have been out of date info. Or for Wii titles specifically.

I haven't tried this but it looks like even if it works it has a very limited list of games it supports.

A little unsure on step 2. You said "Replaced the boot.dol in my sd/apps"? Is that because you already had the USB loader? So I'd just install it there rather than replace something?

No the game saves to the SD card and then you transfer it to your external or internal hard drive just like you would with a game

Actually with the method he posted the GC games are stored and run from the SD card. It's different to the injects.

I had a game not work yesterday and I ended up just deleting it, but other than that I haven’t had anymore black screen issues besides that one game

I'm kinda happy with my workaround, but still wondering what you might have changed in order for it to work now.. :)

Yeah I looked through your post, it’s strange sometimes the game will launch fine and others it will just get stuck at a black screen after the wii and GameCube boot logo, it’s really frustrating because I was having so many issues with my dual hard drive setup and I thought injections to one HD would be better. There has got to be some way to fix this or atleast figure out what is causing it
also make sure to keep the nintendont boot.dol files on your sd up to date nintendont gets updated quite frequently usually around once every 1-2 weeks

I've been having the same issue and it's definitely not that. Even a newly formatted SD with nothing but Haxchi, the latest Nintendont and the Nintendont config file the injects need has the same problem.

Sorry guys, i feel your pain. Just throwing something here, some injections only work for me by forcing the progressive scan prompt, just hold the B button after the Wii logo and wait until the prompt to show up.

Apparently the issue isn’t being looked into because not many of us have the problem so that’s neat

To be fair they can't fix a bug they can't replicate. Also the general interest in developing anything at all for the Wii U is pretty much gone now.

Do you all use uStealth to get a second HDD working for wii games? I was encountering this exact problem ever since I started using uStealth, and it showed up specifically after I wup installed a wii u game with a ustealth drive still connected. Even after I stopped using that uStealth drive the problem still persisted.

Fast forward to now, I've just setup all of my homebrew on another wii u without ever touching ustealth, and gamecube injects work perfectly fine. No blackscreens, boots normally 100% of the time.
