Cheating would be a reason to start bans, I can agree with this.

But we haven't seen that yet.

CDN stuff is beyond me but from the looks of it, it deserves bans too I guess.
Like a week after homebrew went public someone made a Splatoon save editor that allows you to instantly max your level and apply "ultra stats" to your clothing and even abilities that shouldn't be able to go together. Online cheating was like, the first thing to happen...

Nintendo should add sanity checks to everything, so people would put a little more effort into their cheating.

They did it in Pokemon... Once I hacked in a Ditto that knew hyper beam for the shiggles, local multiplayer would reject it. Was a shame cause my friend and I really wanted to have an absurd battle with absurd pokemon lol.

Yeah that'd be really nice. Honestly all the hacks coming for Switch are turning me off to buying any game I was considering for online because like I said above, I stopped playing MK8 and skipped Splatoon on Wii U for the same reasons. I'm all for emulators and such, but when you jump on MK8 and an 8 year old takes off like a rocket at 800 mph with unlimited blue shells every other race it kills the experience.

...Do you have footage of this? I'm dying right now. I would pay good money to see that lmao

...Jokes aside, does this happen often?
It did back when I bothered. There was a time when people were actually against online hacks in that scene, but then that seemed to just stop. It was just really annoying. There were also a number of cases back then of Splatoon hackers actually ruining normal users saves by playing as an Octoling online, which if their character was loaded into your plaza, could brick your save even on a completely vanilla console.

...ADD THOSE GOD DAMNED SANITY CHECKS NINTENDO. IT'S PROBABLY NOT TOO HARD.

That must suck. A lot. But a turbo 8-year old would probably just make me die of laughter.

...infinity blue shells though would make me die of rage. Still...

Hyperspeed Kids. I wanna see this sooooooo bad lol

Just picture stuff like Balloon World on Odyssey once people figure out a moon jump hack, or rocket league with instant goals. This is the only reason I'm upset about Switch hacking. It's actually a good console, but if devs see their game environments ruined this much this early, why even bother making more games?

Again, sanity checks.

Just because you don't expect something to be possible doesnt mean it can't happen.

Sequence breaks and other stuff like there's no tommorow

This is how news works these days, something completely unique happens and its treated like its a world wide epidemic.
Reminds me of the switch launch, where a few units were defective, but people made it out like a majority of units were defective, when in reality it was well within standard defect rate for mass produced electronics.

All the more reason I'm holding off for a long enough amount of time before I feel comfortable enough to consider possibly hacking my Switch. Like at this point I very well might not even do it, it just depends on how things play out.
Staying offline would be the most comfortable thing and you wouldn't have to wait. Not really much we can do what we have anyway it's either rom emulation or backup saves.
The only ppl that would be banned are either stupid or just wanna see what makes Nintendo tick nothing really to panic over.

and you should get banned from gbatemp
like seriously
what are you doing here?
this is a hacking website

They would have to ban a lot of people then.
Not everyone is fine with having an online experience ruined just so that people can have fun by cheating.
I totally support the fact that if you wanna hack fine, but say bye to online.
