Yes, Mega Drive roms need to be renamed. This isn't actually stated in the official documentation so isn't obvious and does require some searching. Loads of people on the forum believe that Sonic 3 & Knuckles doesn't work because of this.
did i need something else to do? or it ust work on 3.0, i'm on 2.1 the app works fine, it shows the games i have but when i try to put one (with yellow letter or green ) i ust get a black screen.
Metal slug ( I have a couple, like 2 appears on green and another few on yellow) and the king of fighter 2002 (I put a few of the 2002)
thanks it worked, i don't if also i was missing the parent game because i was trying to play like a moded game and it say (bootleg) so i download the original game and the other version and it works, but yeah it was missing the bios on the folder, thanks!
Does anyone know how to change emulator settings such as apect ratio, toggle billinear filtering on and off etc.?
Also, how do I access the difficulty setttings for the games? For example, in Retroarch, you can access "Diagnostic Input" which takes you to the cabinet's configuration screen. Is this possible in this pfba version on Switch?

Hey, I’m loving the emulator, most of the games I tried on it run perfectly. I have just a few questions though.
First, 1 game I’m trying to run on it, (mega drive) streets of rage 2, actually runs faster than it’s supposed to. This is strange because none of the other mega drive games I’ve run on pFBA run at their normal speed. Is there a way to enable vsync or some sort of frame limiter?
One more minor problem I’m having is that I can’t figure out how to use multiple controllers for multiplayer.
But other than that, this is probably the best emulator on 5.0.X (not like there’s too much competition) and a great arcade and mega drive/sms/game gear emulator, keep up the good work!

.43 but the last release is still using .42. I would go with .43 though as the update is imminent.
I don't think multiple controllers are supported yet. Only remapping split joycons for 2 people.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better. -

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
