Hmm, I wonder why it wouldn't work on 1.0. FWIW it works great on 5.0.2 so it's not a 3.0.0 only thing.
no idea.. interested to hear if anyone else has success with audio on 1.0
I tried running via hbmenu v1 as well and no different.

Yes, current build/release is based on FBA .042, the master branch (wip) is 0.43, but needs a few fixes, which I didn't find the time to add (vacancies). This will be done soon.

Why does this version of FBA need those prefixes before console ROMs? My romset is working fine with FBA for windows. Will this be changed or do I really have to rename thousands of files? If yes does anybody know a suited tool for that purpose?

Code:
for %%a in (*) do ren "%%~a" "md_%%~a"
Replace md with tg or pce or whatever as needed

Im not sure how it works on other platforms, but the FBA gamelist does have the prefixes.

You are right I just have to code a batchfile. But I still wonder why it expects those names when the windows version does not. It has the same version 0.2.97.42. Also the romset for 0.2.97.37 does not use those names.

Thats strange because every version I downloaded and tried had the console roms inside dedicated folders. Version .37 up to .43.

You can see fba (.43) gamelist here : http://files.mydedibox.fr/files/Dev/psp2/pfba/gamelist.txt, which is built with stock fba.

But with official fba 43 (on windows at least) it can still parse the console roms without any prefix. So for example, Shinobi is named shinobi.zip in roms folder and in gamegear folder is still just shinobi.zip, not gg_shinobi.zip
Yes I understand that, I'll take a closer look someday. And how is named the ROM inside the zip ?

"Although, internally, FB Alpha uses an md_ prefix for the Megadrive games shortnames, either a pce_, tg_, or sgx_ prefix for PC-Engine games shortnames, cv_ for Colecovision game shortnames, sg1k_ for Sega SG-1000 game shortnames, sms_ for Sega Master System game shortnames, and gg_ for Sega Game Gear game shortnames this prefix should not be applied to the zipfiles the roms are stored in." source: https://www.fbalpha.com/manual/

For both GG and SMS inside shinobi.zip it's exactly the same
Code:
shinobi (usa, europe).bin

Edit: And another shinobi.zip in pce folder the rom inside is
Code:
shinobi (japan).pce

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is working fine for me, by the way. You need to use the FBA rom specifically, not just any old Mega Drive rom.

Obviously not going to tell you where to get it, biut search for 'sks3.zip fba' on Google and you should fine the correct rom set. Rename it to md_s3sk.zip

Tried metal slug 1,2,3 but all of them has sound problems...it works but the sound stutters and is a little bit to fast..do i have the wrong roms or is this normal?
Switch fw 4.1
