I can afford a $30 dongle but i can also afford the BETTER FREE ALTERNATIVE THIS ISNT HARD TO UNDERSTAND! WHY SPEND 30$ WHEN THE FREE THING IS BETTER?

Any source to bak up claim B? So far I haven't seen any official announcement from devs that we will be seeing an untethered version except for 1.0.0 (which uses jamais vu, not a coldboot bootrom exploit).
Though I might have just not seen it, so if that is true I would love to see the source. I'm not saying you are wrong, just haven't personally seen any actual evidence of this claim.

People can be informed and want to buy the dongle anyway, as shown by some well known users of the temp.

You are the one missing the true point here: You are NO ONE to tell people what to buy and what no to buy. Sure, you are doing good by informing and recommending, but the rest is up to the person, not you. Again, you have power on one on their decisions.

This is literally just a USB dongle + the already known exploits. People are gonna pay money for this?

You forgot the part where it works on all firmware versions and also that it comes with its own CFW. Don't buy it if you feel it is worthless but even if you buy it for the hardware alone and only plan to use open source tools it is still a good price. Or else, show me to the next available cheaper job + untethered payload dongle. Now. Now in 3 months.

It is more convenient than using a computer/phone. It seems like cold boot with only work with the first firmware the rest will need to use something to inject the payload

You can't use this with open source tools, it'll be locked to "TX CFW". You own a smartphone, you can do this same thing NOW - and soon you wont even need that for ATMS.

Because I don't see anything with atmosphere so far that looked better than what tx revealed today

Firstly, not everyone is one 4.1.0 or lower. So again you telling everyone that they shouldn't buy one and "won't need one" isn't valid because not everyone is on 4.1.0 or lower. You really shouldn't just assume everyone is.

Carrying a USB C cable and USB OTG cable is much less convenient than just bringing a dongle...

Not everything will be 4.1.0 or lower. Some things will work on every FW - as long as you have a rev1 switch.

They probably used some arduino/raspberry circuit board and trimmed it to be like that size, to enable launching the CFW when connected to the USB port.

Again you are being vague without using any evidence to back up your claims. Where are you getting information that we will have an untethered exploit? Because right now I haven't seen any actual sources that prove that. Only people saying it will happen without evidence.
