Hardware "DS Happy Box" adapter for hardmods?

Has anybody got any info if the microSD adapter "DS Happy Box" that comes with the r4isdhc.com cards is "compatible" for hardmods (maybe including DSi NANDs too)
I was planning on unsoldering the microSD slot and use it only for hardmods, since I have another one of these and I use a much better quality SD/microSD adapter anyway

It's just an ordinary USB 2.0 to micro SD adaptor, not for interfacing with the NAND.
Yeah, I noticed that, but... if you connect the CLK, CMD, GND and DAT0 pins to some pads on the 3DS motherboard, in theory you can interface with the NAND. I was asking because not all SD controllers are compatible
 
If I were you I would not consider any small cheap micro-SD adapters that come bundled with something like a flashcart. They tend to be very poorly made, slow-performing and break incredibly easy.
