I'm disappointed that Nintendo didn't make re-writable firmwares for the SoC and bootrom, to patchout hardware exploits after the 3DS fiasco.

Indeed, but you would presume that <reswitched team member A and B> + a few other devs would fact check this stuff before making such comments in public, but good that it was wrong anyways.

The ReSwitched Discord is way, way less public than this place. And you were the first guy to mention it here... so... ;)

Having read the original comment, I think we all deserve a bit of clarity rather than ‘he says, she says’. For end users, nobody is taking sides. People are using Heteke for now, and everybody will change to Atmosphere when it is released (at the same time, let’s not go putting words in people’s mouths by assuming there may be hurt feelings when there may be none).

As it stands, we don’t really know which statement to believe, and this is a problem.

Things are heating up with competition, and it's wonderful. Remember the CFW wars on the 3DS? Well eventually support for the others dropped and Luma3ds came out on top. I have a feeling one or two CFWs will survive on Switch as well. Things are just getting going, so expect a bit of toxic chaos for a while.

There is something just so wrong about referring to forums as social media...

Just an opinion.
Forums predate the concept of social media, but they still fit in perfectly under that definition. Because when you think about it, Facebook is really just one gigantic unmoderated forum.

Well no shit, that would be like saying an audio driver could blow your Switch's speakers!
Oh wait... I kiiinda said that...
Every Current of every Component in the Switch is Software Controlled. So yeah. Wrong Current Settings in an Payload can fuck up your SoC
