Ah, yes, more confusion. I'll just patiently wait while sipping on my hot coco, watching the drama unfold.

pins 9 and 10 together, can cause problems in the future. best to use pins 1 or 7 with 10. -- and only problems that exist with using RCM payloads for long time, is A) LCD Burn-in) and B) Battery Issues!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

plus don't forgot the #1 thing, the USB C to C or A cable MUST have the 56k ohm resistor in place, or damage could occur! :)

I generally keep myself fairly involved with exploit documentation, and I haven't heard anything regarding degredation, here or from the grapevine. I find it odd a rumor is being addressed / responded to without knowledge of said rumor. Does anyone have a source of where this rumor came from, or where it was being discussed?

Is it safe to assume the USB C to A cables that come with the Pro Controllers are safe? I haven't really looked into this.

Available a gamestop.com for $9.99 or $7.99 (Elite members). Totally worth it..as you get those sweet, sweet reward points.

Even better, you can now use reward points to get eshop credit.

Yes, I use it and never had any issues, in fact the pro controller charger is the recommended cable for RCM.

Sounds good! Thanks both of you. I was using this, so its good to hear that it is a safe one.

I think it's safe to assume the only reason reputed reswitched team (allegedly) members said something like this is cause they were pissed that someone else released a working payload based on their work. Although it's understandable that they got pissed but spreading false rumours was beneath them. Also part of blames falls on the person who spread it further cause afaik the reswitched team member only said it *might* degrade SoC, IMO a *might* wasn't enough to simply go on spreading that it does without any hard evidence to back it up.

Also the other rumor of it soft-bricking devices seems BS to me.
