Step 1: Don't bother.

RetroArch doesn't support v5.x. Compiling it yourself won't magically make it so.

RetroArch doesn't support v5.x because it's compiled with libtransistor which is obsolete and doesn't work on 3.0.1 - 5.0.2.
If RetroArch gets optimized and compiled with the latest libnx, it would work.
But that seems to be to much work.

I'm aware of that. Like I said, OP simply compiling it himself isn't gonna magically make it work on higher firmwares. It has to be rewritten to use libnx, which I highly doubt OP knows how to do, and is far beyond the scope of explaining in a simple thread reply.
