Upgrade ubuntu to 18.04 in a partitionned HDD ?

Hello, I've windows (8.1) and ubuntu (17.10) in the same HDD, I want to upgrade from ubuntu in 18.04. Can I lose my windows data if I do it ?

You should be able to upgrade Linux just fine on a dual-booted system. Linux tends to be friendly with other OS's and also tends to use GRUB2, which is also very dual-boot friendly.

No, you're fine. Just run apt-get dist-upgrade (or whatever the command is now).
