Looks very unlikely that they will have Switch consoles that are not updated. But you can always try !

They will, however most stores that I know always update theirs. Best way to find out is just by going there

I'll go to the counter and say: hey excuse me what I'm about to ask may sound weird but do you have any Nintendo switches with the latest splatoon update installed? Because I don't want to update my switch and found out there is another way... But it requires to NSW is there any chance I can update it this way? Please ? All I need is a switch for a couple of minutes on this counter. Will that land me any luck you think?

Probably... OR you can do it a different way: ask if you can try Splatoon? They wil probably hand you a switch. Update the game, and ask a friend to do the update stuff on your Switch ... Little teamwork is needed there.

Hey, just bought smo in germany.
It is card Revision 001, doesnt nag about the online Update and has Update 3.0.2 on the card.
Also the game is on Version 1.1.0

Does anyone know what firmware you have to be on to play Overcooked? I'm on 3.0.1.

Did you or anyone found out what is the firmware requirement for Overcooked ? It looks like a lovely co-op game, and I don't wish to accidentally update my 1.0.0.

Edit: I just found out that Overcooked is not a physical release and requires an updated to the latest fw from the eshop. Well, there's that !

My Mario Odyssey came with 3.0.2, so I updated from 3.0.1 cartridge 001 from amazon UK

Ive read that Kirby has update too, if I remember to 4.1.0. Take it with a grain of salt though

There are Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 002 carts in the wild, they require 4.0.1 and can confirm that update is on the card as well, as I updated my Switch from 3.0.2 to 4.0.1 with it.
Edit: v 1.4.0 of the game is on the cart.

Might want to assume then that if a certain firmware is needed the firmware is also on the cartridge.
