Hey all! I have some very strange memories of some old games from when I was little. I'll start with the weirdest one and then move on to the ones that you're more likely to be able to decode.

The first one is this bizarre NES game that didn't make even a lick of sense to me as a kid. To start with, the picture on the cartridge was similar to the one on the Duck Hunt/Super Mario Bros cart, but instead of the two halves representing said games, the top half had an angel on it that looked very much like Kid Icarus, with the bottom half of the image showing a little pixelated devil. The Kid Icarus-looking art showed Pit facing to the right, with the devil looking to the left.

Now for the most bizarre part; when I started the game, it looked like an isometric view over a land with nothing but warp pipes. Everywhere that my character walked, there were more Mario-like warp pipes, and pressing A over one of them went into the warp pipe. But after my character went down the warp pipe, he just appeared in another map with even more warp pipes. I was about 5 years old at the time, and the game just didn't make any sense to me at all. It was also one of my relatives' games, so I don't know what happened to it. My Dad says he doesn't remember it either. Odd.

These next ones are probably a bit more decipherable. They're PC shareware games from when I was a bit older.

One of them I remember rather clearly. It was some kind of viking/valkyrie quest played from an overhead view. There were two games; the first took place on Earth, and the second one took place on the moon. The main character was decked out in golden armor, and looked similar to Shovel Knight's golden armor except for wings on the helmet.

The next game is a bit more obtuse. This one was about these 4...blob...things? I'm not quite sure exactly what they were, but they were bulbous in shape. The demo consisted of a single turn-based battle in which each of these things could use a bomb item. That's about all I remember.

So what do you guys think? Any ideas as to what these are?

No, I don't quite think so, but those are good guesses too. The whole thing was just so odd...you pick either the angel side or the devil side when you boot up the cartridge. Going into a warp pipe on the overworld of the angel world takes you to the land of warp pipes in the devil world, and so forth. At least that's what I comprehended as a 5 year old. Game was just plain bizarre. The angel half of the cartridge art looked almost exactly like the Kid Icarus art.
