my 3ds (old 3ds) starts up on a black screen for some reason... i do not know why, i am running the latest bs9 and luma3ds (after updating them like 2 days ago) and just a few minutes ago i turned my 3ds on and just a black screen... its not a svcbreak error as i tried that to see if it was the problem...help please :(

no it never done this before which is odd...i mean i WAS playing yokai watch 3 earlier today then forgot to charge my 3ds so it died later on in the day but usually it just boots normally as it is supposed to do even if the battery died while playing a game like this.. note: i can still enter luma3ds and gm9 normally when booting only thing i did notice is that when trying to press "home" with gm9 now pulls up options intead of going straight to the home menu of the 3ds

When you boot does it give the sound from the home menu?

actually one moment. i see something that is different. in my gm9 files i see a major difference in stuff. under scripts i see my emunand and sysnand backups that were updated thru the update process tho they r not supposed to be i think, and i see a full sysnand and emunand restore file as well that are also not there in my restore files.. should i swap them?

Try it

Does the blue light flash when you turn it on? Do you have boot.firm in the root of your sd card?

it doesn't flash. but the files i see that are new/changed in gm9:
restore files:
backupemunand.gm9
backupsysnand.gm9
setup_ctrnand_luma3ds.gm9

the current files in the sdcard:
backupemunand.gm9*
backupsysnad.gm9*
*restoresysnand.gm9
*restoresysnand(safe).gm9
*restoresysnand(full).gm9
(*the emu and sysnand back ups are newer date while the other three were never there b4. also setup_ctrnand_luma3ds.gm9 is gone in the sdcard gm9 script files)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

ok i got it to boot normally. am i supposed to reupdate emunand? cause its asking for an update for the system firmware on the 3ds.

You shouldn't be using emuNAND in the first place ;)
Are you sure you updated B9S correctly? You need to actually run the newest version of SafeB9SInstaller with the updated files.

i'm not using emunand...it just generated that in the 1st place and idk y it has, also i literally used the latest files and read the updating guide to the letter. also i had it fixed but now it did it again so i am redoing the sysnand restore and stuff but WHY it only does this after the 3ds shuts down fully is unknown to me.
