Hi everyone. I've looked into several different threads already regarding this issue, but nothing seems to work. My situation in detail below:
- I'm using the R4i Gold 3DS Plus, the one with ntrboot preflashed and all (bought the card from nds-card)
- My console is a new 3DS XL running version 11.6.0-39U
- I've switched the flashcard's boot mode to "N" for ntrboot
- My console's SD card is a brand new SanDisk Ultra Plus 16 GB microSD and uses the FAT32 file system and its allocation unit size is 8192 bytes ***I've tried other allocation unit sizes and entirely new cards, but nothing seems to work.***
-
- All files and folders (excluding the Nintendo 3DS folder) were downloaded off of links from the ntrboot guide at 3ds.hacks
- boot.3dsx is in the root directory.
- Regarding the boot.firm in my SD card, it was originally named "SafeB9SInstaller.firm" and was copied from the "SafeB9SInstaller-20170605-122940" folder. So I don't think I renamed the wrong file or anything
- the boot9strap folder contains two files: boot9strap.firm and boot9strap.firm.sha
- I've inserted my console's SD card into my 3DS
- The R4i Gold 3DS Plus is inserted. ***The card isn't detected by my 3DS when booting regularly (--i.e. trying to get to the 3DS' start screen and not into the SafeB9Sinstaller menu), so I think it's safe to assume that ntrboot is working correctly***
- My console's power is off and a magnet is being held over the sweet spot. ***When powered on regularly, the magnet is in a position that causes the 3DS to enter sleep mode.***
- With the power still off, I'll hold down the X, START, and SELECT buttons.
- WIth the previous three buttons still held, I'll then press and hold the power button.
- My N3DS will then power on to a black screen. The power LED turns on to blue. At this point, I've been holding down all 4 buttons for about 5-10 seconds.
- Once I let go of these buttons, the power LED fades off after a second, and the system turns off.
