It's running Windows 10 IoT Cor eif I remember correctly. It's a special version made for light load processors. Since GPD Win uses a Atom after all.

they will not release anything but fake videos because there is nothing to release. fail0verflow is living up to their name. my best guess is that the developers left to work on more important things so they release these fake videos to save face. they may someday release something but first they need to learn to program which, in their defense, is a very tedious process and can take years to master.

What exactly is that they're running? Looks like a web browser. Is it that Linux emulator they were talking about earlier?

It's not an emulator. That's linux running on the bare hardware from a coldboot exploit.

With something like Linux running on a Switch, a lot of possibilities come to my mind about what can be done with it.
Priorities first, i would definitely check if you could run Steam. After that, check if Monster Hunter World could run on the minimum specs on it, just to despise Capcom and its excuses.
Would be so, so Beautiful if you could have access to Vulkan API to make it run with the less than optimal specs to spite them even further. (I mean, look at Doom 2016. It's gorgeous!)

This week has been one hell of an impressive ride. Here's hoping to see this released some day in the future. In the meantime, congratulations to F0F for their impressive POC here!

It's ARM not x86... You'll be able to run anything open source. (Kodi, emulators, web browsers, etc)

the point is, they trolled the wii u community. now they are trolling this community. some of their trolls have even come here to leave comments about how they are happy that they aren't releasing anything because we should be happy for their accomplishments and the screenshots that they post. i'm not excited or angry because in all likelihood they haven't actually done anything. its like this weird wizard of oz situation where almost everyone here is bowing down to their accomplishments, which they have not and will not release. most likely they are just still trying to figure it out. hopefully they will make some progress at some point, but in the meantime there are many other more knowledgeable people making good progress so i'm not too worried about it.
