a spoof isn't the same as actually updating. it just fools sony into thinking you're updated. I know psn downloads don't work if spoofed. I'm not sure if you can still download psn content on the psp, but when I did my last tutorial in my vita tutorials, you could. that's how I got the license for the evil lord demo. I backed up all three licenses. 
this wasn't that long ago though if that's what you want to do. personally, I'd stay on 6.60 as 6.61 doesn't offer much. I know if fixed a couple game issues, and that's literally like two games.

unlikely, I'm using a dual memory stick adapter and two micro sd cards. are you trying to update or to spoof? the update needs to go in the game folder.; the spoof - the seplugins folder.
i want to use my PSP with best cfw, i mean i saw infinity and 6.61 cfw so i wonder if 6.61 is more stable or offering more plugins or etc, i would like to update otherwise i can continue using 6.60 and i can spoof it for 6.61
tbh, I don't know. some plugins may not work on 6.61. it may be better just to spoof and not worry about it. there's a plugin that will tell you what firmware the game requires. I use it with my psp, and it always says things like 2.30-6.60. it never says 6.61.
i still couldn't understand why i cant update i guess in the end i will use spoof because of update problem
i already formatted my memory card from psp menu, i read about 6.61 has better support for ps1 games, is that true ?
does the update appear in the games' list? it needs to be in a folder in the PSP/GAME folder.

i updated my psp 6.61 and installed permanent cfw, im only using cheat plugins so it is working ?

I have a PSP GO, been running Infinity and havent had an issue, try formatting your memory, and check that the UMD is set to Inferno, else, whats the error you are having?
