2.3.0 - luckily I wasn't able to get my hands on a used Pokken Tournament DX cart otherwise it would have likely been 3.0.0 by now. Whew!

I don't have a Switch but I can tell you that if I did, it would be on the highest firmware. I wouldn't wait for homebrew. The Switch is fun enough.

3.0.1.

Probably going to update because I need a system update to use my sd for some reason (128GB) and well I don't really care about homebrew. Switch is already region free and can't really get excited for same old emulator ports.

Format the SD as FAT32.

I'm in a unique position - i'm collecting all switch bundles brand new in box, so i have 5 from day one and one for mario odyssey bundle.

The breakdown is:
one for me (latest fw)
one for my wife (i think she's at about 3.1 for odyssey, she doesn't use it all that much)
one for eventual h4x (1.0 neon)
two release units for collection (1.0 neon, 1.0 grey)
one mario odyssey bundle for collection (assuming 3.1 FW but haven't opened box to check)

obviously not really concerned about piracy for the h4x one i have saved, more just homebrew usage as i'm collecting all triple a titles in physical format anyway.

Editing to add: in australia there has never been a switch shortage/sold out factor, so i'm not depriving other people with my collecting habit.
