They're already rich....
MOAR rich.
Semantics. Seriously.
I'm just excited that I'll eventually be able to install mods over Breath of the Wild.
EDIT: To be clear, I'd buy a Switch mod chip / flashcart just for mods. That alone is worth $100 to me.
Team Fail0verflow won't release shit.
I KNOW. SOMEONE ELSE WILL.
K bye.

GeoHot did that with PS3, other devs took what he released and made it enable piracy within hours.

I'm not going to go into the whole Geohot stole work from FOF or whatever that scene drama was.

But, don't count on FOF to release anything.
They have done writeups on PS4 hax recently though. Have a feeling they won't do the same for switch but I hope I'm wrong.

FOF hasn't released jack shit on the Wii U, they won't for Switch as they love their stripteases.

Yet they released a lot for the Wii.

I can understand them not releasing shit.
Self entitled pirate kiddies wanting everything handed to them for free.

The Wii U didn't do so hot, I don't have a lot of hope of seeing anything for Switch, but that's just me *sigh*

No need to project the negativity onto others.

I for one don't care about the Switch.
I only got one to familiarize me self with the system and take a peek at how the innards work.
But you don't see me complaining about a team who hasn't released much for a while.

I uh... I'm going to take a break for a while. I need some time to think -_- These past two days haven't gone well. May make a blog.

Good plan.
I like you but in recent times you became such a negative nanny.
I really hope you can leave that behind.

Anyway there's no need to keep on complaining about 1 team "not releasing shit", especially when there are other teams who are also actively working on it.
f0f consists of talented hackers who inspire other hackers to search for similar flaws.
They do have a contribution to the scene.
Besides, they aren't forced to make their findings public.

Besides, why not delve into the Switch security yourself?
Share your exploits and findings.
At least you'll be contributing something other then negativity ;/

I never learned programming, so I wouldn't even know where to begin. I leave it to the people who know what they're doing. I never intended for myself to get so negative.

Get a DS + a flashcard.
Install Devkit Pro and write a simple hello world.
Doesn't matter how ugly it is.
@Foxi4 has made a simple "valwinator" homebrew on the DS.
Remember Aurora wright?
She didn't know shit about programming neither before she started Luma.

And then there's those of us who just want homebrew/mods. Who needs to pirate when you have a job to pay for games?

Who needs to pay for games when you own a gamestore ;D
But yes, there's a small userbase of legitimate homebrew users.
Along with legitimate backup loader users.

I like the fact that games can be dumped and executed on hacked consoles out of a digital preservation perspective.
This is especially true for the old Xbox where XBLive has been shut down 8 years ago.
There's no way to get title updates or DLC on the machine anymore aside from pirating it and loading it up on a hacked console.

Not to mention having to play multiplayer using system-link, or hooked to a PC using Hamachi for what amounts to long-distance system-link.

Actually, FSD's LiNK system is a really neato implementation of Syslink multiplayer.
X-link Kai, annoying to set up but working miracles.
Hamachi is something I wouldn't trust.
Exposing your network to a stranger...

Dedicated game servers have to be paid for.
Once there's to little people playing to keep it profitable, they simply disappear.
Cycle of life in the multiplayer world ;/

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

    nvm it does support mine
