Welcome to the second week of Tempmas!

While the staff is still voting to elect winners for week 1 (announcement to be made before the 25th), it's time to start our second competition right now. Here it is!

Tempmas week 2: a photography contest! The rules are:

• Take a picture of your Christmas tree, or your Christmas or New Year decorations (or other current festivities)
• The picture must somehow feature Tempy, our mascot, and a mention to the year 2017 (to make sure your picture is not taken from past events).
• Tempy and the mention to the year 2017 must be real, not digitally added to the picture. It can come in any form: a printout that you hold in your hand while taking the picture, an actual decoration on the tree, a Tempy cookie -- the purpose of these 2 elements (Tempy & 2017) is just so you can prove the photo was taken for this competition and not stolen from somewhere else.
• In order for this contest to be fair for a greater number of people, the photo cannot be digitally enhanced via Photoshop or any other software. If we allowed it, y'all Photoshop mastas would add super cool effects to make the photo better looking. The only thing we will allow is, well, cropping, resizing, or rotating the image, obviously.
• Post your photo in this thread to enter
• No animations, videos, etc. Only JPG pictures will be allowed
• Enter before December 31st at 11:59AM UTC
• The winner will be designated through a staff vote, results will be announced before New Year's Eve

I see a potential problem with this competition. Not all places in the world celebrate Christmas with a tree, for example in places such as Singapore (where pine trees are hard to find to begin with) you rarely see a christmas tree, even if you wanted one they're nearly impossible to find now as IKEA stopped selling them. I know because my dad lives there.
That's not even counting other religions that might not celebrate Christmas as such but still celebrate the holidays.
A lot of people are automatically disqualified from entering even if they wanted to.

I wouldn’t. It’s a setting on a camera, like the zoom function. You’re not editing it after the shot.

This. It will certainly improve the image quality, but the actual quality of what is presented in the image (I know, I sound confusing) isn't the only thing the images are being voted on. So go for it (:

Here is my Entry... the 2017 sign is handmade and took almost 2 hours to complete.... the dog was trying his hardest to stay still... but he was a good boy!!!

I'm not gonna enter, I'm out of town up until January, but here's the method I would have used: Make a Tempy out of modeling clay, paint, and place next to presents.

Hello yes as you can see it is definitely 2017 in this picture, as noted by my top of the line laptop and the latest GBATemp URL being used for my proof with the latest Tempy on the latest Internet Explorer.
