Welcome to the second week of Tempmas!

While the staff is still voting to elect winners for week 1 (announcement to be made before the 25th), it's time to start our second competition right now. Here it is!

Tempmas week 2: a photography contest! The rules are:

• Take a picture of your Christmas tree, or your Christmas or New Year decorations (or other current festivities)
• The picture must somehow feature Tempy, our mascot, and a mention to the year 2017 (to make sure your picture is not taken from past events).
• Tempy and the mention to the year 2017 must be real, not digitally added to the picture. It can come in any form: a printout that you hold in your hand while taking the picture, an actual decoration on the tree, a Tempy cookie -- the purpose of these 2 elements (Tempy & 2017) is just so you can prove the photo was taken for this competition and not stolen from somewhere else.
• In order for this contest to be fair for a greater number of people, the photo cannot be digitally enhanced via Photoshop or any other software. If we allowed it, y'all Photoshop mastas would add super cool effects to make the photo better looking. The only thing we will allow is, well, cropping, resizing, or rotating the image, obviously.
• Post your photo in this thread to enter
• No animations, videos, etc. Only JPG pictures will be allowed
• Enter before December 31st at 11:59AM UTC
• The winner will be designated through a staff vote, results will be announced before New Year's Eve

I liked those tempy ornaments so much that I'm keeping them on my tree, lol. And yep, I taped the 2017 to my Wii and had someone hold it up for me so you could see what it said.

'Twas the night before Tempmas, when ev'rything was mellow
Not a 'temper was stirring, not even Costello;
The hat was put on the tempy with care,
In hopes that soon real 'tempy would be there;
The 'tempers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of new hacks danced in their heads

And Chary on her 3DS and I on my Wii,

Had just started to turn them off for as late as it be‍—‌
When out on the forums there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the forums I flew like a flash,
Pulled out my Switch, and started to dash
The Switch in my hands by the forums on my PC,
Maybe it was the day that the switch was broke free;
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a giant post, and a PoC video I could hear
With my little old mouse, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment I must go and click
More rapid than eagles the downloads they came,
And I whistled, and shouted, and opened a homebrew game,
"Now! CFW, now! EmuNAND, now! Backups and Emulation,
"On! Reigon Changing, on! Downgrading, on! Fan Games and Creations;
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney 'tempy came with a bound:
He was dress'd all in blue, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all new with orange eyes and no soot;
A bundle of hacks was flung on his back,
And he look'd like a peddler just opening his pack:
His eyes‍—‌how they twinkled! His blue face how merry,
His cheeks were like blueberries, his nose unlike a cherry;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
Soon gave me to know I had no bricks to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And hack'd all the Switches; then turn'd with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his face
And giving a nod, up the chimney he raced.
He sprung to his site, to his mods gave a whistle,
And away they all went, like the down of a thistle:
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight‍—‌

(This story is obviously a WIP but it's something)

Here's my attempt using the Bokeh technique with a Tempy-shaped filter. I wish it had turned out better but my camera is not the best, the filter had to be SUPER tiny (hard to cut out with the tools at hand), and I am the furthest thing from a professional photographer.

Photo was cropped in photoshop.

You've just triggered a series of post-war-esque flashbacks for me. No no no, if the BittBoy is my prize, I'll gladly pass it along to the next winner down the line.
