Hello everyone,

I need a help trying to either get my input redirection or manual firmware update to work.

I'm currently on 3DS fw 10.7 and Luma3DS 9.0 (just updated) and every time when i enable input redirection on 8.1.1 my 3ds freezes. That why the first thing i did was update Luma. This did not make a difference.

What i have tried so far:
Turned input redirection on and got an IP address to show up 192.168.1.200. Pressed B until i got to the homescreen and tried connecting to 192.168.1.200 using InputRedirectionExtended3.0.Windows. Used an XBox controller and doesn't move the cursor on the 3ds. Waited for 5 seconds noticed the 3ds is frozen.

Tried again, with the steps above and didn't go back to the home screen. The IP address changes from 192.168.0.0 (not sure exactly but similar to this). Tried again but this time with a static ip. this time it stays at .1.200 but again it'll freeze after 30 seconds or so.

So my guess possible there is some issues with redirection and fw 10.7? But i can't confirm. If it is, can some one tell me how i can manually fw update the 3ds without going through the internet? I am currently connected to the home network BUT i set a fake proxy address on the 3ds so that it can't get out to the internet. Since i'm always worried of getting banned.

Controllers tested:
GameSir G3s
Official Xbox 360 controller

Many Thanks all.

You really should not be worried about being banned. As long as you avoid using cia homebrew applications while connected to the interent, you are nearly guarunteed to be completely fine. Cfw does not have a tell that makes it different from a regular fw. Ninty only sees if you run a title with an invalid id (nearly all hb titles) or you do something obvious such as cheating online. Anyway, I highly suggest you unblock Nintendo from you router and update. Hopefully that fixes the issue.

Ok, I'll update the ds and hopefully it'll solve the input redirection problem. Really would love to play the ds for an extended period of time but my left thumb hurts after playing for 30mins :(
