Hardware How do you feel about the joycon "d-pad"

In the beginning I really had to get used to them... but now I play longer without strains in my hand on the Switch then when I play on my 3DS/ 3DS XL.

I play everything with pro pad, even on the go (I fashioned a pro grip for the screen). I cant handle tiny hurty non ergonomic button placement.

The concept art people did for GC looking joycons would be perfection.

I also play on the go with an iPad 2 holder. It is from Grifin and fits perfectly!

Lol but the switch has a kick stand.

My method makes the whole thing portable.

Like nvidia sheild portable: screen mounted above pro controller.

No table required.

The whole Kick stand is a bad idea when playing in a buss or airplane. It falls over so easy! What is your solution then?

Just wall-mount your Switch on the back of the seat, there is a reason I carry a drill when I get on an airplane.

PS: Yeah, the kickstand sucks.

I've get used for this layout in a couple of days so now I don't need a d-pad replacement at all. If I'll eventually buy a lot of fighting titles I may consider to buy a couple of that Hori arcade sticks, though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they arrest you when you get into a plane with that under suspecion of carrying a weird plastic explossive put together homemade bomb camouflaged as a videogame.

I hated the idea at first and expected it to be really awkward to use, but it actually doesn't work that bad.
It's not great, but not bad. I would still rather have a proper D-Pad but it works fine for the occasional game that actually needs it.

I hate it.

The joycons need a revision for people with big hands.

I also hate the right side stick/button placement.

Cramp city.

Yeah I find that position odd, though I usually end up moving the joycon a little further up in my grip so my thumb reaches it better rather then trying to contort my thumb to it. So it's not a really big issue though. I have skinny spider hands though so I can't say for sure if others can do what I do.
