Sirs, good afternoon!

I Start this topic requesting sincere apologies, I believe that in the forum there is this information, but I not found it compiled in one place.

I have a WiiU version 5.5.2 only with Haxchi installed.
I do not have CBHC installed on WiiU.

So let's go there:

I saw that there are some emulators in Vwii with support for "pro controller WiiU" and I did a test with genplus-gx last version and it did not work.

1) When applying Haxchi and entering the vwii mode the pro controller stays "on" but however no command is recognized.

2) When entering the genplus-gx emulator last version the "pro controller" off, and does not connect to the console. The same happens when accessing the wiiflow.

3) What am I doing wrong? Do I have to update anything on my WiiU like Haxchi or install CBHC?

Thank you very much much much to all of you!

It seems the unofficial Pro Controllers only work in a handful of Homebrew apps, at least from what i´ve been able to test in the last 2 years, for example: Latest revisions of Nintendont, FCE Ultra GX, Snes9x GX, VBA GX and WiiSXR.

you got preety much all homebrew with wiiupro support on wiiu side with retroarch, besides ps1 and n64 you should just use retroarch on wiiu mode imo.

Now it seems to make sense.

I would like to use my "unofficial pro controller" in wiiflow (Vwii) where I have all the covers organized. Most beautiful thing. :)

PS1: I was on Aliexpress and I noticed that the unofficial pro controller had an update and now it is possible to play on Wii and WiiU. Is it the solution for me?

PS2: ls it possible to make the official Nintendo pro controller, does it work on Vwii emulators?

Thank you!

If you're looking for emulation on the Wii U, an alternate option is using RetroArch's Wii U builds rather than using Wii mode programs with spotty Pro Controller support.

It can be a bit of a pain to get used to at first, but once you do, its a powerful and versatile emulation solution. And since it uses the Wii U's native support for controllers (and also works with USB HID pads - did I mention that the GameCube Controller Adapter uses HID?) your cheap Pro Controller should work.

To get started, simply click here to download the cores. Ignore the "wiiu" folder and put the "retroarch" folder on the root of your SD Card. The reason for ignoring the wiiu folder is because RetroArch is best booted from its own channel, which you can install using WUP Installer GX, and run after starting Haxchi. Updates to RetroArch can be found at the buildbot, and more information is available in the thread.

There may be some stability issues with some builds or cores, but I find that running emulators with the Wii U's full power and RetroArch's versatility is a definite improvement. Your mileage may vary, but I noticed that nobody pointed the possibility out to you.
