Thank you for all the help. My last question is how many folders are in the game. I have code, content, meta, and save. I saw a 5th one in a video but is was just a bunch of numbers. Do I need it as well?

I haven't seen anything other than those 4, so perhaps it's just some extra stuff. Could be mod files but that will be managed by the Sm4shExplorer preinstalled with the kit.

My dumping keeps freezing when dumping one of the movies (mov_08 to be exact)... I've tried restarting the process, deleting the file and then restarting the dumping, but nothing works... is there a way to skip the movies folder?

Although the folder isn't required, DDD can't dump specific files, only folders and all the subfolders/files within that folder. You could use a better exploit, as this was written before IOSU.

What can I use? And do I absolutely need to dump smash to mod it? I read somewhere that you only need to dump it to create your own mods but since I'm as creative as a piece of wet paper I'll just install other people's mods

You do need a dump as far as I know. You could try wud2sd to dump the WUD then use Uwizard to extract it.

I actually found out what was wrong, the movie that was freezing the dump was actually corrupted, probably due to disc scratching, so I'll just install the game to USB and dump it from there

Is it possible for the dump to go directly onto an sd card in a pc? I dont have the internal storage for dumping, but I have 2 sd cards, one I can have title dumper and such, and one that has huge capacity and can contain a dump.

Yes, using something like wudump or disk2app. Although, these tools won't give you loadiine ready files, which means you will need to convert it.

The system cannot execute the specified program.
The dump is now complete. Will launch Sm4shExplorer after key press.
then when you press a key it says that smash4explorer is corrupted and unreadable. I haven't tried dumping yet but is this supposed to happen?

It tried to execute the dumping program, but couldn't. Since it technically passed the program, it assumes that the dump is complete. Sm4shexplorer is probably not prepared to be opened while it has no dump.

Includes:

• A Readme.txt that has instructions and requirements.
• Sm4shExplorer(Preconfigured)
• Titledumper/DDD
• SD card directory predone.
• Bat file to help with dumping process.

Note: Your SD card must be formatted with FAT32. Use this tool. This will delete everything on your SD card so back it up if needed.

I seem to be having trouble actually finishing the dump. Usually when the dump is finished it will say something along the lines of "Client 0 Connection Closed". But my cmd window and the dump is paused in a weird way. I cannot type anything into the cmd window. I've also checked the correct properties on a completely finished dump. I seem to be missing a few files that still need to be dumped, therefore, my dump is not completed yet. Can somebody help me out with this?

How far dose the dumping go's i am at crs-f_mov_12_Shulk_EN.mp4 ( maybe past that after this post ) what is after and how big will it be? i a going like 840.??? kb/s is it good or no? if i hit Ctrl+C will i be able to start it from when i stop it or i have to do it all over?

So I am in the process of loading homebrew thing I clicked on "Homebrew Launcher Illuminati" then I went back but now it say it can't load the files I've double checked to see if the files are there and I c them so idk what's going on

Whenever I try to dump SSB4 through DDD, it would stop at two certain files, but I'm not sure what they were called as I haven't tried dumping through DDD in a while.

The other thing is that whenever I try dumping through wudump, it stops at 17.1GB, and stays there. I'm not sure if there's a problem with the disc drive itself or just the disc that's causing it

I've hit this with my copy of Super Mario 3D World. I'm pretty sure it's a disc read error.

Try cleaning the disc with a microfiber cloth. (I haven't managed to get it clean enough to read yet; probably need a new cloth.)
