Hacking PS3 4.81 exploit to be released by Christmas

I'm running the server.py for an hour and 5 minutes and so far, my PS3 Slim (2004B) hasn't dumped its IDPS.
Hmm, wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

Okay. I suppose I won't use DB then, since I hardly play online anyway. How big does the HDD have to be? Does it even have to be a HDD? Can I use a 16GB USB stick? And what exactly would I put on the HDD? Homebrew apps? Themes? Mods?

Homebrew has to be installed, you can't run it from a USB stick.

The only PS3 without a HDD is the 12gb superslim. If you have one of those then CFW isn't an option anyway, all indications are that you would have to redo the exploit every time you turn it on. You'd be able to install homebrew on the 12gb, but you probably would want a hdd eventually.

I don't bother with very large hard drives in PS3's anymore, as it's easier to stream iso's from a PC/NAS. If you play a lot of games then updates and saves take space though, minimum drive I'd go for is 160gb. Some people however decide to fit 1.5tb drives (I think this is still the largest you can use)

Uugh, this is complicated. So, I need an HDD and not a big usb drive? Then it's definitely not worth it, though it would be nice to play minecraft mods or something. What would you put on the hdd besides games that's so big?

i have a slim ps3 with 3.7x ofw not hacked but can be hackable with a E3 flasher, so do i need to update right now to 4.81 to get the exploit works when it release ?

It's most likely going to be fw specific, but I would hold off just to be sure.

Yup,just dl the update from the official website and slap it on a usb stick.

PS3 CFW its great. Not only for Gaming. Today i do use my PS3 for BD-R 3D .iso and movian player.

lucky there is so manu PS3 CFW out there that doesnt care about new exploit.

but its time to CFW all of then.

Turn off the automatic update option from System settings.
(optional) create a new user without any PSN account, better to be safe than sorry.

I have like 4 PS3's lying around that I want to update to 4.81. Could I just leave them off and use an update file to update them later when I am ready to exploit them? I can kill the internet when the time comes so it does not auto update.
