Hello guys, yesterday I found a preload of pokemon ultra sun on Cianagel, but this file is locked and you can't open it until 17th of November, but last year someone released pokemon moon, aren't it the same case?

CIAngel one is the CIA for the preload, NOT the game! You MUST wait for release date for the seed to come out at CIA to make it work. Just delete it and wait for a leak. The leak is always a cartridge one, there can't be digital leaks.

Nope! The leak last year was from a cartridge dump. You will gain nothing from installing the pre-load data, since it's locked behind a seed that would take several years (or more, I forget the exact amount of time) to bruteforce. Just wait for the official release friend, your life will be a lot easier.

You Need the unlock Key (seed) from Nintendo.
Good luck.

Just wait till someone Leaks the cardridge (might Not happen till 17.november)

Let's be honest here, that "several years" people keep saying is just crap. Get 20-30 top grade PCs and split the load between them and you can bruteforce it in a week if you are lucky but go through all possible combinations in a month at most! If you allocate resources properly and everything, it can be done pretty fast. That "several years" is just an exaggeration because pretty much no one that knows how to do this has that many PCs/resources to dedicate to it in order to finish unlocking the game before release.

If you're lucky, you could bruteforce it in one attempt lol, but that just isn't realistic. What I was trying to say was it isn't feasible to bruteforce it, which it isn't.

Yeah, but I'm just saying that the "several years" is an exaggeration. Get 30 PCs with good optimization and high transfer speeds and you can bruteforce all possible combinations in 2-3 weeks.

So we have to wait until someone will have a game and will upload it
Yes, pretty much. We must wait for someone to dump the cartridge, but Nintendo hardly handed out any review copies this time and plans to ship the game at last moment to avoid leaks...

I hope that someone will have the game, one more thing, the file that I have downloaded is dangerous for my 3DS, because I downloaded it from Nintendo eshop, so I can be banded

Don't know about banded but you can't be banned for it since it won't even run, so just uninstall it to make room and wait for actual leak!:P

Bruteforcing a 128 bit key takes 117+ Billion years to crack with current technology, even with 30 PC's you cannot crack it in a 2-3 weeks.
And this is just AES, a 3DS seed requires SHA256 + AES 128, that doubles the amount of time to crack it.

I'll do it, let's wait and hope that some little shop will sell a copy before the official release

It doesn't take ANYWHERE NEAR that long, why do people keep exaggerating this? There may be like quadrillion^2 possible combinations, but with CURRENT technology, with 30 PCs that are top grade you can go through all that in a month if you have them running 24/7 and with proper optimization. We are talking about dedicating 4-5GHz out of each PC with them having 8 or even 16/32 cores to just doing the calculations!

Because it's the truth and you know nothing about PC's ?
Read this: https://www.eetimes.com/document.asp?doc_id=1279619
I LITERALLY bother with encryptions and bits in my job since I program in assembly! It would seem that it's you who doesn't understand. Brute force works by taking values incrementally and testing them out until you find the correct one. How much time do you think it takes for a top grade PC to do a "x+1" and test that as a seed to see if it works? It can do at least a few hundred of them per second depending on the encryption method, no matter how complicated and if you split the load between 30 of them, you are 30 times faster and more likely to find the key! (PC 1 takes 0-1M for example, PC 2 takes 1M+1 to 2M, etc. for example) One computer alone WILL take an unbelievably long time, but things don't work like they do on paper you know and if you use GPU calculations (eg: with CUDA C), you can cut down that "billion" or whatever to a decade and that's on a SINGLE computer. Proper optimization, both CPU and GPU doing the work and with 30 PCs, YES it is possible to do it in a month. What that page details is the general case of that encryption method, not the optimized one (eg: proper assignment of workload, proper memory management and optimization, values to skip [least likely ones like the very early ones] etc.). As I said, with proper optimization it can be done in LESS than a month if you know what you are doing and the only people who know how do it right don't care about Pokemon (military) or don't have the resources to spend.

Just wait for the release it's not worth it getting it early before the release cause then you'll be a perfect target for Nintendo to ban.

Did you ever try what you just said? Try it and say me how long it would take to calculate an AES-128 Bit key with just 1 GPU and then say that again.

Do the math, let's say your PC calculates 100 keys per second and test them, you need to test 2^128 keys, 1 year is around 31.536.000 seconds
that means 1 pc can calculate 3.153.600.000 keys per year, thats not even 0,0000000000000000000000000000001% of the needed keys...
Even if you could calculate 1.000.000.000.000 keys per second/pc it would take millions of years...

If you could crack AES-128 bit that easy, then the World would be doomed, because anyone could hack Bank accounts and other stuff. Because AES-128/256/512 bit is used even by the military, because no one can crack it, with just 30 PC's.

Well, what if someone here coded a program that donated processing power from their machine over the internet and everyone helped bruteforce? GBATemp has ~500+ regularly active members all with PC's or smartphones that could get the job done.
