I appreciate your help but it seems a little overwhelming to add Retroarch as I have no idea what the hell I'm doing in the first place. I'll be surprised if I can get the SNES modded at all!

P.S. - Do you know a list of the games that don't work?

I'd like to have Rock n Roll Racing but it's OK if I don't. There are a few that I would be upset about not having, though.
It’s not rocket science lmao

See attached. Anyone else see this LEGAL NOTICE that was inserted by the maker of Hakchi??! Crazy.

Cluster should really update that to not read 'If you bought already modded system, you was scammed'.

True, but it's also true that it's a pretty specialized operation and most people don't know enough to be exactly certain of what they're doing. Flashing firmware isn't exactly in most people's job description. :P

Here is a compatibility list that you can check out. It's fairly accurate, although if you see any audio glitching reports in there it's because the reporter was trying to use a European version of the game and didn't know that European versions do that. The North American versions don't.

No, but it is pretty safe to do especially when you have a dump of the kernel.

So I'll still have the border from the snes mini? Because I don't use the rewind function. Also is it save States from retroarch or the snes mini that retroarch uses?

The Norderstedt are Not working in retroarch because it can use ow.
But thats a cosmitic Thing and No function.
Sabine are 2 ways.
Ingame saves and the 4 quickslots(save state).
These working without Problems.

There is also ne quick save function in retroarch but that i dont use

Does Cluster's recent 'StarFox FX overclocking' argument in Hakchi cause issues with other games?

I read it messes with other games and/or cut scenes... does it speed up the game or just the frame rate? anyone know?

Have you tried flashing with 2.20 again after loading the original kernel? I’m going to assume yes and, it still didn’t work.

I saw a post on reddit somewhat similar to your issue. To fix it, the guy paid attention to the red/green light in the lower left corner of hakchi as it’s flashing your software. Once hakchi is done flashing, click “done” and wait for that light to turn green before powering off and disconnecting your SNES. The folders should work after that. At least I hope so. Good luck!

Thanks for your response. I ended up starting from scratch and re-adding all my games, which thankfully fixed the C8 problem completely. I still don't know exactly what went wrong, but my best guess is that I somehow corrupted one or more of the desktop files when I tried to edit in the battery-backed-save flag for the games that were missing it. The newest version of hakchi corrected this problem for me as I re-added all the games. From now on, I will not try to manually edit the desktop files, and will keep a backup of my games_snes folder in case it does happen again. The only thing that sucks, is that most of my games chose different CLV-U-XXXXX names this time around, meaning my saves I backed up won't work anymore since the names don't match... But it's not a big deal. I hadn't made more than a couple hours' progress on any of the games other than the original 21 (I was able to keep the saves for those).

How do you fix that annoying issue where if you have too few games on the screen (I think), when you scroll to the ones on the far end, the scroll bar jumps around all crazy? I dont know if I'm explaining this right, but someone has to know what I'm talking about. Is there a way to fix this?
I know what you're talking about. If I were you, I'd make sure there were at least 12 games in each folder (plus the return icon). The minimum number of items in one menu before it freaks out seems to be 13.

hakchi2 v2.21c (internal version 2.0.21.40)

Minor update, nothing special.

  • Altered free space calculation.
  • Minor fixes for mods, "extra_space" mod is more safe now.
  • "Turbo A/B" hack working correctly now.
  • Scripts autoupdate, so you don't need to reflash custrom kernel after every update.
  • Updated translations, added Portuguese (Brazil).
  • Force NTSC patching for SNES games is removed.
  • Tiny fixes.

RetroArch mod v1.0

  • Bugfixes (previous release was broken a bit, sorry)
  • Pixel perfect scanlines
  • Corrected aspect ration by default (can be tweaked via menu)
  • Decorative frames for SNES mini
In other words, much better integration with NES and SNES Classic Mini.

Did you update the legal notice disclaimer "you was scammed" to "you were scammed"? :D

Great program, thank you for all the hard work!

Question:
Where can i put samples for older arcade games to fix missing sound? Like in Donkey Kong the walking and jumping sounds are missing, in mame4droid you put the samples in the samples folder.

Awesome, thank you for your work, man ^_^ So if we update, we just copy over the games, etc folders and simply run the program to update the Snes Classic? @PPlays check this out :P

Someone decided it would be funny and screwed up the compatibility list :glare:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...8t2aV5cVswYlnsdKxn9xoIW2Y/edit#gid=2014317767

Letters are missing, all games are compatible when it's not true. Can someone fix this? Or is it gonna have to be locked to prevent vandalism? I think it should be allowed by only members whose usernames are visible, none of this anon crap.

Whoever this anonymous was that vandalized the list? You suck at life.

If anyone wonders why a locked copy of the main sheet exists, that's why. :wtf:
