I got bit too, bought a usb drive thinking it was a 64gb.. turned out to be 8gb [emoji14]

I always buy locally now..
For sure, I got my money back though, I told the guy it was a fake, and he said, oh, you know how to tell fake? and i was like yes, i used this app and sent him a readout and he gave me my money back.

Why does that damn build bot always fuck up so easily?

Auto deployment (that's what the buildbot is) is very error-prone, you know?
We should be thankful that such a thing even exists and we won't need to compile sh*t every night. :P

I determined the problem with the channel forwarder installation and RetroArch is now loading through it. However, as I do not use CBHC I would like to be able to launch it via the Homebrew Channel and that is still not working.

I can use Haxchi to launch Mocha and then run the forwarder but that seems an extra step that I should not have to take.

I don't get it why anyone's launching Mocha through Haxchi, seriously. It's almost like booting up Windows just to tell it to reboot into Linux.
Unless you're making use of Mocha's FAT32 build, there's absolutely no reason to use it (as much as I adore Dimok's work).
Put the following lines into sd:\haxchi\config.txt and run the Haxchi installer from the HBL once again to patch it over:
Code:
default=sysmenu
a=path/to/hbl/homebrew_launcher.elf
Now just tap the Haxchi game and wait for it a few secs. You're back at your home menu with all CFW sig and region patches you need, as sysmenu launches Haxchi CFW which doesn't have a downside to Mocha but boots a bit faster.
Then launch the RetroArch channel.

At least it's the same amount of time and clicks for those two:
  • Home menu -> HBL through Haxchi -> RetroArch app
  • Home menu -> Haxchi CFW through Haxchi -> RetroArch channel
Once you know your Haxchi CFW is working you could even consider installing CBHC over it so you just need to launch the RetroArch channel from your home menu once it booted up.

instead of loading an D64 img (or anything else) just load the cmd file.
an cmd file could be sd:/roms/c64/Turrican2.cmd :
Code:
x64 -autostart "sd:/roms/c64/Turrican2_SideA.d64"  -flipname "sd:/roms/c64/turrican2.vfl"
of course you should also have the corresponding vfl (vice fliplist) file : sd:/roms/c64/turrican2.vfl
Code:
# Vice fliplist file
UNIT 8
sd:/roms/c64/Turrican2_SideA.d64
sd:/roms/c64/Turrican2_SideB.d64

Hello @rioray

Sorry to bother you with this again. I finally managed to run game using .cmd file - Retroarch was crashing until I finally found out I should use unpacked .d64 files instead of .zip files - but I'm still having the same problem. After the game loads using .cmd, it still says Insert side B and press fire to load. Does order of .d64 files inside .vcl matters (I saw an example somewhere with SideB first, and then SideA)? Btw, I'm using Haxchi + Mocha build with SD to USB redirect, and I have all the ROMs on FAT32 HDD, and all the settings in Retroarch and paths in .cmd and .vfl changed from SD:/ to USB:/ - but I suppose it works OK with it (at least .cmd), because it loads first file without problems.

Best regards,
Davor

I've been using the mGBA core to play the Pokemon Throwback Hack and it runs pretty well, through I don't think the RTC is working properly.

Does the mGBA core on retoarch support RTC on Wii U?

That's a problem with Retroarch on Wii U in general.
If you notice, when you boot up any RetroArch core, you get the current time/hour listed in the upper-right corner.
However, it seems that it stays at the same hour everytime, this might be because synchronization between RetroArch's Wii U port and the main Wii U's system clock has not been implemented yet.

@Radius4 @QuarkTheAwesome do you guys have any idea about how to sync the port with the system's clock for RTC games? (and any other that depends on time settings :P)

@ploggy @wicksand420 I just opened up h2testw.exe with my 128GB SD card.
Formatted it again to FAT32 with 32kb cluster to have it all free for the app, it says "all available space: 127967 Mbyte"
Is that correct?
I'm already running the test, says it will take like 4 hours lol, what can I expect from it?

I just hope I can get this thing to work, I really want to put all my ROMs and ISOs into a single card for RetroArch :(

What it does is write 1gb chunks and keeps a log of the data, then goes through each chunk and checks the data for corruption, when it is done, it will tell you how much space is truly on your sd.

I figured it may have been something like that. Think mine is stuck at 23:59 if I remember right.

Saw a few people mention the Vita port had a similar issue at one point, though looks like that may have been fixed since so fingers crossed for the WiiU :)

Yes, that's correct.
It's always stuck at 23:59 and doesn't get past that, so that's why RTC games do not work since they cannot detect the real clock settings from the system, so the game is eternally stuck at 23:59 :P

So is that it, no more dsi errors with retroarch?
Wait, what? Did I miss a commit or something?
What has been done to reduce them?
I get them almost everyday although I'm bravely closing the content before launching a rom with another core. My nightly might be about 2 weeks old. Seems like I would have to try a new one. :)

I'm not sure how RetroArch handles time, but this "just-get-DOSBox-working" code might be the culprit.
