Hello guys, recently I updated my 3ds from arm9 to boot9strap following the guide step by step, but when it tells me to system update it gives me an error and the system restarts... Already did the ctrtransfer option and still nothing. I also updated my 2ds and it worked just fine, no issues. My dns is set to auto, my internet is working just fine (I even tested with different internets), there's no parental stuff turned on, the connection test works just fine and eshop gives error 005-4800. I'm out of ideas. Also my flashcart is not working on my 3ds (but it works just fine on my 2DS). I have no games so if there's any option that requires a system restore, I don't mind.

Thank you.

That error has nothing to do with your system, it's serverside. Error-code 005-4800 HTTP Status 500 (Internal Error). There is nothing you can do on your end other than power cycle your router, recongifure your networks, and keep trying.

I'm sure it is not my network, I have tested in 3 different places and my 2ds updated correctly

Ope fbi and see if there are spending updates
There are no pending titles

Could it be related to a modified localfriendcodeeed_b/movable.sed/secureInfo_A/etc or something in the past? Is there anyway to restore my original ones?
Thank you

I already said it wasn't a problem on your end...... No, it's ONLY related to the NIM system module and the Nintendo service server. Again, it has NOTHING to do with your system unless you deleted the NIM system module through FBI or something. Otherwise, it's a problem with your console connecting to the server. The error code is in black and white in the SDK "HTTP status 500 (internal error)" there is nothing else. Period. Google what that means so you'll know I'm not just making this up.....

It could possible be due to a serial number change in the moveable.sed but you'd know 100% whether you changed it or not (not to mention there is no point in doing that). I looked up your error code in the CTR from the official Nintendo Development portal and that's exactly what it says it is. I highly doubt they would say "Error code 005-4800 is an HTTP server error" when they mean it's something else.

Ok... but is there anything I can do to fix this issue or I'll be stuck on that version forever?

The only things you can do one your end I already suggested above. Just because other devices connect fine doesn't mean there isn't a roadblock on your other system. For whatever reason (and I say that because HTTP 500 errors have no specific cause, could be their server, could be a timeout, could be your console not establishing a connection) it's not able to connect to the server like it needs to. Think hard about what you have, or haven't done with that system in the past in regards to online connectivity. Other than reconfiguring your settings, the only suggestion I have is to try again preferably on a different network; like a public Wi-Fi at Starbucks or something.

I already tried 3 different wifis, 1 at my home, 2 at my work, 3 at a restaurant and got the same error on all of them. Anyways thanks a lot for your help I'll keep trying

Do you have a NAND backup at all? You can try restoring that, also clearing your internet cache/history. If you open the browser and go to settings you'll see it. Hope you figure it out man, I know it's got to be frustrating.

I had an issue a while back with my N3DS absolutely refusing to connect to my router. Ended up being an internal wi-fi adapter issue, where the console just refused to recognize my AP. I eventually fixed it by power cycling everything a dozen times; but it just goes to show things can just stop working without warning at no fault/cause of your own.

Just restored to my stock NAND like you said, I'm back on 9.2 and its asking me to update!! Thanks a lot man!

Darn, looks like I'm late to this party. I would have suggested grabbing the entire set of current firmware files via 3dsnus and install them with FBI. That would have either worked, or squashed the idea of an actual http 500 error with 100% accuracy.

Wasn't really an "idea" since the error code description 100& says that's what the error is. How he was getting it is another story........

Just for the record, my flashcart wasn't working too. After restoring the nand and updating the system my acekard came back from the dead :D
Did you by change install a patched twl_firm or agb_firm at one point? That used to be how people made patched games and homebrew work, but current Luma does those patches on the fly and depends on a legit twl_firm to work...
