I'm curious how much variation in battery life there is from unit to unit.

I've never played completely non-stop without sleep mode, but I have run the battery down and extrapolated active play time by removing any battery loss during sleep. My battery life seems similar to some testing I've read about. With minimum brightness and airplane mode on I should get about 3:10-3:15 in Zelda.

I've seen people saying they get 4 hours with the same settings which is a 20% difference. That seems larger than normal expected variance.

I'm wondering if my experience is typical or on the unlucky side when it comes to battery life in my unit. Alternatively maybe people aren't considering active playtime or just guesstimating when they say 4 hours. Alternatively I know there is a lot of variance in power usage depending where in the game you are.

Thanks. To be clear, I've seen people say 4 hours for Zelda specifically which seems unbelievable based on my experience.

Your 3 hours with auto-brightness seems closer to what I'm seeing 3:10-3:15 with min brightness.

I'm getting around 3 hours in Zelda, haven't timed it though. Not sure what brightness level it was at.
Anyway, I don't think you're unlucky, around 3 hours seems to be the norm and is what Nintendo claimed it would give as well.
