Hiya!

Well basically, I'm just asking you all what model I should get.
What is the best option for the price, the reliability, and support?
I need to have something that will last longer than a year. Not necessary featuring cutting edge specs, but at least something that will do as good or better than my currently owned phone (Moto X Play).

Thanks in advance :grog:

I really enjoy my s8 plus. Specially when I got a gear vr for free from Samsung. It's a beautiful phone. One thing, it's fragile, and you don't wanna cracks in it cus a new screen will cost you 300€.

I own the Samsung Galaxy S5 and have had it for around 3-4 years now and LOVE it!

So i would recommend that since you can pick up a new one for around £80-£100 these days.

If you have the cash for something better then go with the S7 OR S8 since both are great devices. Even the S6 was great (but word of warning, that phone has no SD card slot. Only internal storage!) whereas the S7 and S8 do which is why i recomend them and the S5 over the S6.

I don't think it's available to officially buy anymore, but I would recommend the OnePlus 3 (Or 5, it's great too.) I've only been using a OnePlus phone for a little over a year, but it's easially the most incredible phone I've owned. The stock ROM is very clean and has no bloat, though it's pretty much just AOSP with a few minor tweaks. The phones support flashing root/custom ROMS without voiding the warranty, which is really cool of them.

samsung is cancer
touch wiz sucks and phones are loaded with bloatware
also their designs are the ugliest thing on the planet , the new note 8 looks like crap just the rest of their designs
samsung=great specs but that is about all

I read the comments first and thought you had a good suggestion. Not much has really happened with phones last couple of years, but then I read the OP and the Moto X is I think (slightly?) better than the S5.

Get a OnePlus 3T or 5. Affordable, great specs (that 6-8GB of RAM will probably last you a while, lol), and they have a great custom ROM community. So even once OnePlus stops supporting those phones, you'll still be able to get the latest and greatest of Android for years to come.
OxygenOS is also my favorite flavor of Android.

i recommended the x pure for my dad it is a good phone, camera looks nice battery is not that great though
i see you already have a moto though
i would wait and see what they make next
i like motorolla they have close to stock android , stereo front firing speakers, and SD slots , the speakers on the x pure are even louder than on my 6p
and the phone has an SD slot and much better SOT

i am waiting to see what crap Google releases next for pixel 2, probably will be ugly no front facing stereo speakers and no SD slot and no OIS
nobody makes a decent phone these days
but i like sony and motorola best because of stereo front firing speakers sd slots and close to stock android

If you want something decent and less than $200, get a galaxy note 4. 3GB of ram, quad core processor, a 1440x2560 display, AMOLED screen. You can find them on ebay for $140 or less for a B grade phone

nexus six p or a pixel
6p has problems my phone wont even get 1 hour 4o minutes SOT with 15% brightness and no apps running
there are lawsuits for a reason , the phone would be good if it didn't have MAJOR battery problems and also mic problems

about a year now
it would be good but they are all defective , my phone gets super hot and battery life sucks
SOT is shit , and support is non existent
google support is the worst on the planet , they refuse to honor the warranty
my phone has had problems since day one and google would not do shit but pawn me off to huawei
who also did shit but wasted my time in the process ,they made me RMA the phone 3 times and sent me back the same exact phone all 3 times without doing anything to it, they refuse to even send me an invoice for any work supposedly done to the phone they refuse to disclose the name of the 3rd part service center they use or tell me what was done to "fix" the phone
i had to join the class action suit against google and huawei
the both of them treat their customers like they are lower than dog shit i would never do business with either of them ever again

huawei told me they were sending me the RMA shipping label for 5 months every 3 days and never sent it on the 2nd RMA
took me 5 months to get it RMA the second time and then after being without my phone for almost 3 weeks i get it back exactly as i sent it,still broke

damn that sucks arse man :l

but you know, you are not the only one with problems with this phone.
maybe i was lucky, because i also have mine for nearly a year now and it is still as good as i first got it.

i get 4-6 hours SoT easily.

i read many having bootloop issues, and many of their phones dying on them when the battery life hits 10-30% ranges.
but well the thing is, you could have just tried replacing the battery!

you can buy a oem battery on ebay (they are only like 15$ i think).
and you can watch some very good tutorials on how to replace the battery on Yt.
