Tokyo Game Show has kicked off, as of today, and with it comes a barrage of news. One of which, is regarding the latest entry in Capcom's beloved Monster Hunter franchise. Monster Hunter: World will be launching for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26 of next year, while a PC version will follow "sometime later". Preordering the game will get you some unique starting armor, and for the PS4, a menu theme. There will also be two deluxe versions of the game; a $69.99 Digital Deluxe Edition, which gets you a samurai skin, 3 gestures, and an extra hairstyle for your character. These can be purchased as individual DLC for those who get the standard edition. Finally, there's a $149.99 collector's edition, which will boast a physical copy of the game, all of the contents of the digital deluxe version, an artbook, a digital soundtrack download, and a statue.

no switch release, is that mean switch dont have enough
Yup that was the main reason given by the devs.
And since this opus is not edited by Nintendo, They have no obligation to release it on switch. Maybe they will but they'll take time to downgrade, so the game stay decent (graphics speaking)

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
