but still, this info is all over the place, not hidden deep in this post.

No need to be snarky about this, Guyman. That info being all over the place may not be up to date.

To answer your question, Monkeyman, we aren't far. Someone is reverse engineering the process to find out how it's executed, which assumes it is executed through some repeatable method. Nobody has been able to trigger it, and it hasn't been reported out in the open outside of OP.

We (well not I, since this is my first post and I came specifically to post this) just spent two pages spamming German stuff.

Latest information:

Ok, so the gist is:

1. Set date to July 11.
2. Forget about year or time zones
3. Hold down X. (No need, see below)
4. Do a 1.5 second swing.

If I am correct, a 1.5 second swing is basically the wounding up part + bend down + swing with full force. That is 1.725 seconds on my stopwatch.

Additional info was found that the right joycon motion sensors are active. Apparently, even when the motions are registered as correct, "flog" is still being launch, which hints that there may be other conditions that need to be satisfied first.

Another info is that, it is suggested the game is triggered from the News screen. Specifically, the News screen is where the right Joycon's promixity sensors are enabled.

This may be plausible given that you can now launch any games from the News screen, but only if you have no games running in the background. Uncertain if you are able to launch a game with an empty news article.
(see below)

The more we know....

The X button theory can now be thrown out the window now. Buttons don't matter now.

It is most likely triggered on the main menu screen.

(I am attempting to gather all my posts together, so that we don't have to go through 24 pages of information.)

I'm asking yellows8 a bunch of questions right now and basically, here's what we got.

- No buttons involved, only motions.
- The easter egg is going to be triggered in the main menu where apps are launched.
- The Switch has to be set to Iwata's death.

You need to use both Joycons for the motion gesture.
