I've managed to install Swiss on my memory card, I load it with WW exploit. Can I play burned backups with it or do I still need a modchip? I'm asking cause I don'w want to buy some mini DVDs and for some reason it won't work.

Wait, so your asking if you can play burned games yet you dont want to buy mini dvds?
What are you asking here?

You need to still tweak the disc drive pot for burned games to work.
If you don't want to burn games get an sd gecko and an sd card to put iso backups on it.

save your money and get an SD gecko. Its like 6 bucks and you can load games of an SD card. No chip needed!

I mean, I'll buy a dvd mini just if I'm sure that it will work(sorry for my english lol)
Anyway, I think it's better to get an SD gecko

hey guys, the wii key or sd adapters advertised with wii in the name are the same thing and can be used in the gamecube, right?
it seems is just a straightforward thing... but it got me confused with the "wii" part..

getting a sd media launcher would be the simplest to softmod a gamecube?
i have a wii which i can use to mess with the gc memory cards..
there is not disc less softmod like the ps2, right?

Ya, they are the same.
As for the SD media launcher, if you don't have an exploitable game, then i guess it would be the simplest.
Although if you have an exploitable game and a wii, i would suggest you save some money and purchase the SD gecko by itself.

SD geckos are clones of Nintendo's Japanese adapter*. The issue is that SD cards only work after they've been enabled by software.
To do anything, you'll normally need a working disc drive and a readable boot disc.

Modchips they let you burn the disc. Some chips can also run programs without a disc.
Swiss supports burned games, but as said earlier Nintendo didn't adjust the laser to read them. The games you want to play may make a difference too, playing games from SD gecko (or other alternate methods) affects compatibility.

*I can't vouch exactly how accurate this is. I haven't tried either using an SD gecko in an official SD game (like Pokemon Channel and Doubutsu no Mori e+), or using an official SD adapter for homebrew.
