You cannot install anything but legit CIAs without kernel access! (and I'm not certain even legit ones will install on 11.5)

You can with having a firmware at or under 11.3.

Yes, with a r4i gold 3ds rts flashcard using ntrboot from the guide linked above

My friend is getting the following when trying to scan a QR code with FBI 2.4.11:

Failed to install CDN title
Result code: 0xD820A069
Level: Permanent (27)
Summary: Nop (!)
Module: HTTP (40)
Desc: Request timed out (105)

They just followed the 3DS guide and got b9s and whatnot, and when going to scan a QR code with remote install they get asked "Install ticket titles from CDN?" with options of default, select version or no. They've tried all options but select (no idea what to put) and the same error above pops up afterwards. I had them install JK Save Manager from QR code as a test and they didn't get asked that question and didn't get an error and it installed correctly.

Any info greatly appreciated, thanks.

Is the QR code from that title keys site? If so, are you trying to scan a game/update/DLC QR code or the encTitleKeys.bin QR code? The encTitleKeys.bin QR code is only for use in freeShop.

Yeah, it's from that site. They're scanning a game QR code.

Try just downloading that ticket and installing it manually. You coukd also use freeshop and tikshop as alternatives.

You can't buy any flashcard on Amazon (at least you shouldn't be able to as it's against their guidelines due to legality). You'll have to buy from a different site

FBI has been updated to v2.4.12

• Fix duplicate icons in title list.
• Fix ticket use status not being updated after CDN installation.
• Fix URLs being improperly encoded.

Dumb question. I assumed the system froze on me when installing a game, so I shut down the system. However, according to SD space, this apparently took up space as is, but I cannot find the game, and more importantly cannot find the file on my SD card so I can delete it and try again. This has now taken about 4 GB of space on the SD card, for this reason.

Any idea on how to find it? No idea if I can find it in FBI or on my PC..

Try finding them in godmode9, the files may start with ._filename which means something is wrong with it or the system thinks it is trash but never really deleted it
