Okay, for years, I always wanted to play Klonoa in the PlayStation, I already restored my PSone, the problem is I already tried to burn Klonoa in a CD-R, with speed X10 (It's what I readed in a silly tutorial)

Basically, I already did it, and doesn't work. so, I'm using Alcohol 120, what's the speed I need to burn it? Any recomendable speed?

Thanks in advance.

I usually burn with imgburn at MAX/8 speed (if max is over 8, i set 8 as speed).
Anyway make sure that Klonoa ain't Multi-track image, because require a different burning process (daemon tools + clone cd)

I always burn my games with imgburn and for years that was the recommended program to use for virtually everything (xbox, ps2, and psx). So I'd try using imgburn instead. Also try to burn at the lowest possible speed. For me it's 4x so try going even lower.

If I'm correct and my memory doesn't fail (as most of the time). You can use ImgBurn to burn (doh!) those CD-R at the correct speed. Can't remember if CD-RW are supported by the PSX/PSOne CD-Drive.

Why don't you emulate the games on a PC? I've used pSX v1.13 (no plugins to mess with). I've even created (long ago) PSX Rip's of many games. pSX supports them as CDZ files.

So if game is bin+cue only is not multi-track.
And yeah, try imgburn, it have 4x speed, and its free, don't worry.
AFAIK i never get CD-RW working on PS1.

I think CD-RW aren not supported. I have Megaman X5 burned (of course I brought it) and it's CD-R, but it's slow asf.
My original Sillent Hill disc works perfectly, I don't think is my PSone disc drive, or even the laser, I already change it.

Thank you, glad I brought 3 cds, I knew this would happend.
Anyway, what is Multi-Track by the way? and yes, is cue+bin. And I will try 4x speed, I will reply this after the results.
also, last question, CD-R is only supported in PSone?

It can depend on CD type anyway, but i don't think i can help you because i suppose CD type and brand could be different in each countries; i use Verbatim with no prob, when there's are a black CDs that never can make a burned game working lol.

With that definition then any PSX game would be a multitrack one, which is incorrect.

Multitrack refers to an optical media which contains a combination of diferent type of content, as in some PSX games that beside the game files (required for the game to work), also contain digital audio tracks and sometimes video tracks which most of the time are not directly accessible/playable by windows explorer without another program.

Something to note is that the ISO file format does not support multitrack content, so if you have a PSX game that contains such, you should create BIN/CUE, IMG/SUB/CCD images to preserve them.

I recommend you using UltraISO (not freeware), to create and manage your CD image files (ISO, BIN, IMG, etc.), as it preserves more accurately the structure of the media. I've tried other options such as PowerISO, MagicISO and alike and they tend to corrupt the final image, by not preserving the structure accurately.

And ImgBurn to... guess what?

Do you have a mod-chip?
Of course it have. or I don't know, I can say yes because sometimes my Megaman X5 copy works, I don't know if the disc is it or the disc drive, again, I don't think my disc drive can be, I already said it, I restored it and changed the laser.
My cousin gave me that PSone, I just restored it.

Try using ImgBurn at the lowest speed your drive supports. And try not to use your computer meanwhile it burns. It has given me the best results.
It still doesn't work ;O;
maybe it's my disc?
EDIT: the weird thing is my PSone doesn't load the disc, but ePSXe loads the disc.

It can be the disc.
It is not weird at all the ePSXe loads the disc, you are using your PC disc drive.
IIRC the PS1 disc drive was a whimsy bastard.
It was decades ago, so I don't remember exactly, but I remember that it was very picky regarding CD brands, and I had to record things below 8X for them to work (I usually did at 4X).
Try looking for a time machine and getting an old Verbatim CD-R and a CD-Writer that can do 4X. j/k
Try some other CD brand.
