Dears,

i am on 5.5.1 and everything works perfectly, i didnt hack the vwii yet nor i have installed cold boot for haxchi, should i upgrade to 5.5.2 and continue hacking vwii and cold boot haxchi? or should i stay on 5.5.1?

As long as you have Haxchi installed, it doesn't matter. 5.5.2 won't break the Haxchi entry point.

If it's not broken, don't fix it. Stay on 5.5.1, if your Haxchi installation gets screwed over, you might have a hard time reinstalling it.

No. My vWii is hacked and has Haxchi installed and I'm on 5.5.2 working just fine all the way around.

i can see you have already updated to 5.5.2, is the only benifit is not having to use nnu patcher anymore? how is your experience after upgrading? i know you have advised me to stay on 5.5.1 but i am just wondering why are you on 5.5.2? :)

you have hacked vwii before upgrading to 5.5.2? and did you have to re-hack the vwii after upgrading if so?

Forgot the DNS blocks lol
And everything still works on 5.5.1, even online multiplayer. There really is no good reason to update (aside from no need for NNU, but that's a really small reason).

I hacked vWii way before Wii U homebrew was a thing, and I never had to re-hack after any Wii U update. That's because vWii is never going to be updated.

good but i am thinking to upgrade because maybe they will release another update and block haxchi, there will be no new games so no way to upgrade to 5.5.2 after a new release is done, i think this is the only reason that tempts me, i feel triggered to do it :)

If you really want to, I'd say you should dump your OTP and SEEPROM before updating in case Haxchi breaks somehow so you can use this program to fix it.

i have dumped the whole nand before (around 32gb), are you advising to do a different dump? if so then where to do this OTP and SEEPROM dump?

Use this NAND dumper and choose to only dump OTP and SEEPROM. You don't have to re-dump the whole NAND, just OTP and SEEPROM. (OTP and SEEPROM are really small too, it should only take seconds to dump that)
