Hacking has the ps4 been jailbroken?

I obviously googled this and everything that comes up is dodgy looking sources with passworded rars.

So has it actually been hacked or is it all a scam?

no and for the love of god can people stop saying jailbreak.

jailbreak was the old 3.x exploit on the ps3 by egohot.

there is no more jailbreak for ps3 and for ps4.

exploits maybe, a mod chip yes but reports have shown sony are banning users.

Why? Jailbreak is more specific than "exploit" because it implies complete control. Exploit is more of a generic term because an exploit could have the same permissions as it's base userland application allowing for homebrew, but then you wouldn't really say it's broken out the console's "jail"

Never trust Google that came with password rars like PS4, Nintendo Switch, and XBOX one at all. None. They are simple malware virus or something that can steal your information. Even in youtube offered that. DONT TRUST THEM ALL! GBATEMP will announced when they are hackable or something like that.

Some of us actually enjoy having a system that is not infrested with drm. Piracy is not the sole reason to hack a system.

I could care less about piracy. Any game I want is typically released on pc in this day and age anyways. There are a couple of exceptions but I have no issue buying quality products. It's not like it was years ago where you had to have a pc, a microsoft product, a sony product and a nintendo product to satisfy your needs (well mostly true except for Nintendo first party games but I don't care about those lol).

I just hate the fact that I spend $400 on a piece of hardware only to license the use of it and not have access to the internals to configure it to my liking.

Me too. We got PS4 with 2.57 FW for a long time and haven't used it at all. None. We have a PS3 CFW so no complaint here.

I don't know where you got that i was impatient. The only thing my ps4 is used for is my daughter to play minecraft lol. Otherwise it sits there and gathers dust.

If it ever happens, great. If not, no biggie. Like I said, most games are released on pc now anyways. While I would like to see the ps4 cracked open, it's not huge loss to me if it's not.
