Hacking How do I install cfw on 11.4?

Hey guys, my friend bought a new 3ds xl with the version 11.4. And I was asked to help him out and install CFW for him but when i checked 3ds.guide I noticed that there's no way to do that with the version 11.4. I mean there's the hardmod method and there's the DSi ware method but that's it.
Can someone help me out or atleast tell me why is it (now) impossible to install bootstrap on 11.4 ?

Every exploit that allows you to install B9S is patched on 11.4 (and 11.5).
Hardmod, DSiWareHax and (upcoming) NTRBootHax are the only way because they can't be patched.

i could that there was a boot9strap method on 3ds.guide that was removed at some point.

It was the same for 11.5, I don't know why they removed it

Because there's no sense in staying on 11.4 when 11.5 does the same thing. The guide is basically trying to say to update to 11.5 because 11.5 changed nothing from 11.4.

That makes more sense since ctr-httpwn was patched in 11.4, and that's what I was thinking of for whatever reason.

so ur saying that theres no methods to install cfw into an 11.4 new 3ds xl with only an sd card and another device like a computer along with the new 3ds xl itself?

On 11.4, you only have three ways to install CFW:

1. Stay on 11.4 and use the hardmod method (requires soldering)
2. Update to 11.5 and use the DSiWare method (requires a second 3DS that already has CFW)
3. Stay on 11.4 and wait for ntrboothax to be released (requires a compatible DS flashcart)

Yeah, the guide as it stands now is confusing. The OP makes that clear.

The 11.4 line should say something like "update to 11.5, then proceed"

It's not confusing. The guide clearly states the possible methods for each system version. If one lacks common sense, the guide clearly states at the top of the page that one can update to a higher system version to perform the guide in that column.
