Not touched my hacked o3ds in a while but got it out as I wanted see whats what on it. I wanted to download the new Hey Pikmin demo off eshop but it says I need to update. Im not too bothered about the demo as much as I am about updating. What do i need to do to update it without bricking O3DS or losing anything? I modded it with the Tutorial which is now outdated and has been superseded by soundhax. Basically, I want to update everythng on my O3DS to the latest versions including the firmware. Any help and advice with this will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance guys

Did you follow the guide of 3ds.guide?
That's what comes up when I power up whilst holding start and select

Nope, the cfw isn't deletable with restoring to factory settings
There's a file missing. I've followed that tutorial to the letter. I've tried pressing "A" but the device just boots back to the system menu. Help!

Alright, I'm just now jumping in, so I have a few questions.

First, do you already have Luma3DS installed? If you're not sure, boot the 3DS while holding the Select button. What pops up? More specifically, what version of Luma3DS are you using (should be at the top of the configuration screen).
Second, if you're installing B9S, the error depicted in the image above could be because you have the wrong boot9strap files on your SD card. What's in the boot9strap folder on your SD card?

Edit: I'm guessing you have A9LH and an old version of Luma3DS installed, based on your picture. You should be able to update to 11.5 in the system settings just fine if you're using Luma3DS. To update to B9S and the latest Luma3DS, you need to follow this guide: https://3ds.guide/a9lh-to-b9s

Im trying to use this same tutorial, Ive followed it the letter. boot9strap_dev.firm and boot9strap_dev.firm.sha are in my boot9strap on my sd card. Im right at the start of section II, when I press start and power, the 3ds boots into Luma3DS chainloader menu but as you can see, there is a file missing, "Sighaxed.firm" is missing, when I press "A" it 3ds just boots into system menu. I think Im on an old version as I modded my 3ds over 12 months ago. Any help with this will be very much appreciated

The guide says not to use the dev versions of boot9strap and that's what you've used. Use the normal versions. You have not followed it "to the letter". Try again.
